Jaws 2? We'd love to. Negotiations with the studio are stalled, but there is hope.
Interesting that Shout finally confirmed that negotiations have stalled. I recall a few posters on this very site, who figured that Shout gave up on Universal because of their crappy HD masters. Hope they get something done, cause we need some variety around here.

Oh my, that would be an absolute treat! Heck I'd by 2/3/4 just to have them all, especially if SF made them CE's.
Sure hope it happens.

I would love a collectors edition of Jaws 2 but I don't think I could watch through 3 and 4 again.

I'd take 2 and 3 but would pass on 4.

Same, although I'd probably get 4 just for completeness sake.

3 is a lot of fun, crappy SFX aside. I like it more than 2.

I haven't seen part 3 in many, many years, but I remember liking it when I was young'n. I think they used to play it constantly on HBO (or one of those channels), and I watched it a bunch of times. I wouldn't mind viewing it again for old times' sake--but yeah, it's probably gonna suck...

Believe it or not, I've heard that and factored that into my stated opinion.

I watched 3 a few years ago and it wasn't good. It may have been good on release because of the whole 3D gimmick surrounding it but it was tough to watch the bad acting, the padding and the terrible effects. 4 is on a whole new level of bad, I remember it got ripped apart on release by reviewers. 2 is the only good sequel in my opinion worth checking out.

It's been a while since I've seen 2, but I remember it being pretty similar to the original. I liked 3 because at least it put the shark in a different environment and we got to see the chaos as a result.

I've ignored double dip releases so far.....I would upgrade to collector's editions of favorites such as Escape from new york if they had greatly improved PQ but so far that hasn't happened.

I'm in for Dolls, The Dark Half, Invaders from Mars for sure. Possibly Scarecrows and Monkey Shines when the price is right....

Not the most exciting announcement but we still have great stuff coming this year and I'm sure plenty more in 2015

A NEW YEAR'S EVILLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!

I'm excited to hear of that, Dark Half, and Monkey Shines. If they're not A/V disasters it's likely I will pick them up. The DVDs for the latter titles are ancient (especially Dark Half's 4:3 VHS/LD era master, though I'm pretty happy with the MGM MOD disc for NYE, it would be rockin' to have it in a good lossless presentation).

That always sounded silly and unrealistic to me - as long as the titles were selling well, what difference would negative reviews make? I do remember that someone from Scream mentioned how easy Miramax had been to deal with - perhaps that was a gentle jab at Universal?

Because it appears that Scream is continuing to expand its scope on the type of films that it's offering under its banner, I would like to see them release a CE edition of "The Warriors" which includes the original theatrical version and the TV cut in HD. Come on Scream, make it happen

Walter Hill seems to have quashed that theatrical cut out of existence. I had to go to eBay recently to buy one.

I'm in the same boat, forget the director's cut. The OG dvd works for now.
