Threads remains one of the most bleak and harrowing films I've ever seen. A truly masterful piece of work though.

Given the inclusion of films like Assault on Precinct 13 and Hellhole, I'll throw out a guess that they're going to branch out even further into exploitation territory. I'm thinking stuff along the lines of Roger Corman's non-horror films like The Wild Angels or The Trip. I wouldn't be surprised if they managed to get the rights to the Ilsa films, either.

And dsman71, Alligator is too awesome a movie to put in a Double Feature. It totally deserves it's own release. I'm thinking ala Pumpkinhead and Pumpkinhead II?
The US release of Body Snatchers 78 isn't that bad, tbh, it's got a bunch of extra stuff on it. I don't think Scream's would be better enough to justify the double release in this country. The Arrow one (I think) was the only release over in the UK so that made more sense.

The 93 one, now THAT could use a release! Or the 56 could use a special edition, since that is bare bones despite being one of the most important sci-fi/horror movies ever made

Ghoulies/Ghoulies II is pretty much a sure thing. Troll/Troll 2 is also very likely.

Of course, the only drawback to Threads (1984) is that the movie is too serious for Scream Factory, if that makes any sense to anyone.

Most Scream Factory fare is scary, but not "serious."

I agree with that. The IOTBS 78 release from MGM and Arrow are pretty terrific but that hasn't stopped SF from releasing a title that had a good amount of extras before. The 93 version is with Warner so one can hope that they will release it - they are going into their catalog a lot next year..actually a few titles (non horror) have come already.
the 56 version is with Olive Films.. I wouldn't mind a Collectors Version of that one too..

In terms of my suggestions for Scream Factory, I'd love to see them release the Night Stalker and the Night Strangler on Blu ray. I think MGM has the rights, but this would make a nice combo release

I don't see them releasing The Day After and especially Threads either (both very good and bleak films; esp. the latter), but Miracle Mile is right up their alley, for sure.

Does anybody else remember Spellbinder?

I had the biggest crush on Kelly Preston after I saw this movie about 24 or 25 years ago. It's one of the most fun "evil cult" films out there.

This would be an ideal Scream Factory release.

can't say I'd buy either of those.... I know some people might find them campy guilty pleasures but I thought they were just awful!

Any possibility of Psycho Cop/Pyscho Cop Returns as a double feature? I would love to see those. We already got the Maniac Cop films from Synapse and Blue Underground.

Cast a Deadly Spell.

C'mon, Scream, get it done!!!

And regarding Dog Soldiers, I just hope they don't forget to include the commentary that can only be found on some UK editions, and wasn't included on the US release (DVD or BR). Went through hell trying to get my hands on a region 2 DVD that had it, but finally did, much to my joy.

Im starting to wonder about Warner titles, the House on Haunted Hill blu ray disc has the WB logo. Should we not read too much into that ? How the heck did they get a Warner title to license ??
