Nightbreed has me in an annoying situation. I'm going to finish reading Cabal tomorrow, and would like to see Nightbreed. However, it's not on Netflix, my library doesn't have it, and it is not on YouTube. I don't trust most streaming sites, and I hate to blind buy stuff.

No wonder I couldn't find it. It's not available on mobile. Well, I just favorited it and plan to watch it sometime this week. I would reccomend deleting your post before WB gets wind and deletes the video before I, and others, can watch it.

Oh, I agree, it is definitely dated now, and in the age of reality television I can imagine younger viewers being somewhat surprised that anybody would fall for it. But it still has its own innocent charm.

I remember reading about it in the news, but I am not sure it was ever broadcast here. Would have loved to watch it back in 1992.

It use to be YouTube, that's how I watched it. Of course, I had to watch it in parts, but hell for free, how much can you complain right?

Here's something I found, don't know if every part is here or whatever, but it's worth a try - http://watch32.com/movies-online/nightbreed-2427

That's my point of view. But somebody already posted a YouTube link in full, then deleted it on my advice. The one with parts says not available in your country for 1&3-10. 2 has been deleted.

If you got a no-budget film very few people have heard of my train of thought would tell me to price it reasonably lower so more people are willing to take a chance on a blind-buy and maybe that buys you good word of mouth which can be priceless.
The WNUF Halloween Special is definitely worth the slightly inflated price for the DVD on the Alternative Cinema site. It's a great throwback to the 80s, and feels completely authentic (as opposed to most of the other found-footage/mockumentaries flooding the market right now). The only things that disappointed me were the packaging and the disc menu, as they clearly establish that the special is fake (making it tougher to fool my friends that it's an actual vintage broadcast).

With that said, I would highly recommend a purchase.

I really hope the word of mouth explodes and some other distributors get interested, maybe "Lionsgate" or "Shout!/Scream Factory" pick it up and put it in stores and video rental joints where it can be widely discovered atleast. Glad to hear good things about it though.

I always love any kind of "retro" movement when it comes to horror. Nothing like re-creating the good ole days.

I can't wait to watch Nightbreed tomorrow night. I just finished my book report for Cabal a few minutes ago. Great book.

You may want to keep an open mind. The theatrical cut is over 40 minutes shorter than The Cabal Cut and may not be an accurate representation of what to expect when Scream Factory releases The Cabal Cut.

At 144 minutes, it is a whole new film. No longer a slasher horror film it is a close adaptation of Clive Barker's Cabal. A fantastical love story against a monsterous setting. Again this is NOT a horror. Gone is the ending of
[Show spoiler]Ashberry raising Decker (which was a major plot hole and against the original intentions)
, and inserted are more characterization, more monsters and more of the love story.

I realize this. I just really want to see this. Also, I want to check it out before The Cabal Cut comes out.

No surprise there. The AIP version has played a few times on MGMHD recently. I'm assuming Arrow's eventual release will include all three versions - AIP, Italian-language, and Englush-language dub, a la Black Sunday.

I'm guessing that's the dub where everyone was drunk?

I would love to see PLANET OF THE VAMPIRES on blu-ray. I say if not Shout!, then maybe Redemption or Kino, as they've put out a few Bava titles like BAY OF BLOOD.

When was Planet of the Vampires announced? That seems like it'd be one of SF's more interesting recent acquisitions/announcements, shame no high definition.

My Sinbads are still showing as Order Pending.

Looks like they won't get here on release day, but since these are Christmas gifts I guess it doesn't matter.

Setting things straight

1)No announcement has been made from any company for Planet of the Vampires
2)Twilight Time is releasing the Sinbad movies.. so the comment about them not being shipped is in the wrong thread basically

I see, this was just a hypothetical confirming that Scream Factory has no plans to release Plant of the Vampires in high definition or any other format. It could still come out from anyone else. Thanks.

Any chance Scream Factory may get Jaws 2? Universal doesnt seem to give a crap about this title or the peeps who love it and have been waiting...you guys would do a great job with this film i bet.
