You know what Scream should do? A double feature of Dark and Stormy Night and The Lost Skeleton Returns Again. Shout has both, and they deserve upgrades.

Just wrapped up my review of "Crawlspace", but just had to hop on here and encourage everyone to scoop that one up next week! Such a diamond in the rough with Kinski as terrifying as ever. The transfer looked wonderful! Hard to imagine that something from the Empire Pictures canon can look so good in HD.

These last couple of releases don't really pique my interest at all. I can't even say I want to watch Final Exam for free, lol. It is kind of funny that's it's getting a Blu-ray release, though. (Now, Madman - based purely on reputation - I'd be in for. )

The DVD Beaver review for The Beast Within is up (http://www.dvdbeaver.com/film4/blu-r...in_blu-ray.htm). Without comparing it to another version, there isn't a whole lot to dissect, however I'm disappointed that once again Shout/Scream has left off subtitles. You guys are killing me here. In one of my past jobs, I had to subtitle video footage. Yes, it's a pain in the ass, but it's not that difficult.

Theprestige85 pissed everyone in the arrow thread off and has moved back here I guess.

It's kind of like that guy, who I did not mean to insult, who, for about a week, kept asking for Pumpkinhead. I told him that Cliff would go back for a few pages to answer it, so he could stop posting it. He proceeded to get pissed at me. All was well by the end.

You would think that would be the norm on every blu-ray release in 2013

Yes! I watched Sole Survivor a few years ago without big hopes, but it totally took me by surprise. A great film indeed.

Its a classic with as big a following as Dog Soldiers.

Plenty of people like it, just not a lot in this thread. Don't let other peoples opinion affect your judgement of a movie you haven't even seen yet.

Personally speaking, I think its really good. And definitely worth your time.

Shout's been pretty lax when it comes to ENG subtitles lately. It seems like it's getting to the point where only the Collector's Editions are certain to have them.

I'll probably just get the Arrow version, as long as it's uncut.

If I could pick one Christmas movie to be upgraded to blu-ray (that's accessible to Scream Factory), It would be Elves(1989). It's MGM and hasn't even been released on DVD in the US before, I don't think.

Who wouldn't love satanic-nazi Christmas Elves?

Scream Factory should hunt down who has the rights to Cherry Falls, which came out in 2000 starring Brittany Murphy. An entity called USA Films released it on DVD years ago. There is a very good HD transfer floating around that has been on broadcast cable a number of times, including HBO.

I agree. I love Ginger Snaps, and I prefer it to Dog Soldiers. At the very least, it's worth checking out.

USA Films is a Universal Studios subsidiary.
