Who wouldn't love satanic-nazi Christmas Elves?
I had no idea it was MGM. Put it out in a quad pack with To All a Good Night and some PD titles, like Christmas Evil and Don't Open Till Christmas.

I'm not sure it is. Elves was produced by Action International Pictures (the other AIP). The original VHS was self-distributed by AIP. A 1994 VHS was released by Hemdale. The Hemdale film library is now with MGM via the Orion acquisition, but I'm not sure if Elves was actually owned outright by Hemdale or if Hemdale simply had a distribution deal with Action International Pictures at the time.

Has this aired on MGM's network? If not, I'm inclined to think MGM probably doesn't have the rights to this film.

Whoever owns it, Shout needs to track it down.

The cheapest site I've found for Scream titles is Family Video. All of the CE's and DVD/Blu Ray combos run at the same price of $17.99. Shipping is one price of $1.99, no matter what quantity you buy. They do charge sales tax.

Right now Saturn 3 is almost $27.00 at Amazon, while at Family Video you will pay $21 and change for the same movie shipped, tax included.

They ship via USPS, which is usually quick. I've ordered on a Friday before and have gotten my package on Monday.

Are they reliable? I've never used them before.

Family Video is a fairly big Mid-Western B&M retailer that has had an Internet presence for many years.

I have put 5 orders in with them since September and all have been correct and arrived within a week to a few days. Depending on the size of the order, they have shipped orders in a box and bag. I've never had a movie damaged during transit. At the worst, a slipcover corner was barely creased. I have no complaints with the company on any of my orders.

I ordered Psycho 2, Night of the Comet, Body Bags recently and all came with a slip cover.

They sell both new factory sealed and used movies. I bought a previously viewed version of The Purge for $6.99.

Same here...I have ordered most of my Scream titles from Family Video; even better deal if they have a free shipping or $5 off $50 code. Every title that was supposed to have a slip shipped with one.

Another thing about Scream titles at Family Video is that they do go in and out of stock fairly regularly. But, be patient b/c they get more copies in after a few days of being out of stock. Right now, I'm waiting on Saturn 3 to get back in stock, before I place an order.

So, I just saw that Lifetime remade Flowers In The Attic as a TV movie that will be released in January, and then it hit me. The original desperately needs to be on blu-ray. Too bad Image Entertainment has the Lakeshore catalog. So many of those are crying out for blu-ray.

I had hoped Arrow would at least do a blu-ray to motivate Image to do their own once the HD materials were available. Just to at least have the film on BD in the US, for the non-region free consumers.

Just heard about this and apparently MGM has it, so... Shout Factory should totally get their hands on the 1985 Paul Verhoven film Flesh + Blood. It sounds like its right up my alley.

There seems to be no rhyme or reason to how Arrow decides what gets high-def treatment and what gets slapped on a DVD concerning the Lakeshore catalog. HELLGATE gets a Blu-ray but not DEAD END DRIVE-IN? Why would Lakeshore only have good source materials for SOME of the films and not all of them? It stands to reason that the studio would have taken proper care of everything in their vault.

Not necessarily. Just look at movies like From Beyond which, apparently, look beautiful on BD. Meanwhile, The Outing and The Dungeonmaster look like crap. They are all MGM, so one, using that logic, could assume that they would all look equal.

I received two separate packages for the Nest Blu-ray (ordered during the Fright sale). Upon further inspection, even though both were mailed to me, one of the invoices is for another person.

I just emailed them about it but will have to wait until tomorrow at the earliest to hopefully hear back on how they'll handle it.
Never did hear back from Shout Factory. Hopefully the poor soul eventually received his order.

I did a search on the MGM site for Elves and it did not come up with it, so I take it, it's not with MGM.
