Alright, here's the final and updated list of donors:

- Metallix87 (me) - ~$10.00
- Spooked - $10.00
- jupiter123 - $10.00
- fuzzymctiger - $5.00
- Doctor.Who - $5.00
- donidarko - $10.00
- MTRodaba2468 - $10.00
- tommynorcal - $5.00
- A Donor who wishes to remain anonymous - $10.00

That's a grand total of about $75! Not too shabby! Now to find a good BD Player. Since DK is clearly not interested in 3D, the best option, IMO, is the Sony BDP-S3100, which is $78 and has solid reviews and looks beautiful as a piece of hardware. If this is acceptable with everyone, I'll wait to hear back from DK, and then take the next step, which is we decide who is placing the order (i.e. who do we send the money to). If no one chooses to step up to place the order, it will fall on me.

Agreed. As a starving college student I don't have any money to throw in but I must say this is pretty heartwarming. Happy Holidays to everyone pitching in money and demonknight, prepare your eyes for the High-Def experience

Tis fine. Keep in mind, I asked no one for this.

demonknight, I shot you a PM asking some questions, please let me know ASAP so we can get you your tech sometime this week.

EDIT: Alright, it is done! Okay, now the final step: Deciding who orders the tech for DK. If everyone is okay, I will order the Player since I have Amazon Prime. Please let me know if this is acceptable, and then I will provide my email for all of you.

It may depend on where you're going to order from. For example, if you're going to order from Amazon I'd recommend each member purchase an Amazon GC and send it to the person who will place the order. This avoids getting hit with a transaction fee such as PayPal.

Good point, and seems like a logical option. I was planning on ordering from Amazon, since I have Prime.

Hey don't get me wrong it's a good thing you guys are doing but I was just thinking that money could be sent to a better cause at Xmas, ie charities. Well that's just my way of looking at it.

Watched the first disc of the Vincent Price set. Looks and sounds great. I liked Masque a bit more than Pit and the Pendulum. Price is a god and probably one of the last true horror icons most of us will see.

Will probably watch the second disc tomorrow.

Alright, guys, for those of you who have graciously decided to chip in for DK's Blu-Ray Player: I now have his mailing address, so it's time to collect the funds. As suggested before, I'll be collecting the money via Amazon online gift card. I've never used these before, so here's my e-mail address:

metallix87@gmail.com

Once I have all of the money from those who agreed to give to the cause, I will be ordering the Blu-Ray Player, which will likely be a Sony S3100. Thanks again for helping bring DK to the HD era!

I asked Scream Factory why the films in this collection were set out on the discs the way they are. I had expected "House of Usher" and "Pit and the Pendulum" to share disc 1 for example. The short answer is; they don't know themselves.

Sorry, we asked our DVD producer this question and we don't have a simple answer for you that would shed some light on the arrangement.

Amazon giftcard? How do I do that?

Is there not a way for a simple Paypal payment?

You can send me a Paypal payment if that works better for you. I've no idea how the Amazon giftcard works, but apparently it's simpler, so if you feel like looking up how to do that, feel free to.

Yes, it's a bit weird. It's easier to just go with the flow instead of switching discs all the time.

This donation of a Bluray player is a nice Christmas cause. However, your pissing off the land of the luck in Ireland... It's fallen on hard times and that 4 leaf clover doesn't go as far as it used to when Warwick Davis was killed by it.

Now, on to a cause...

Halloween 6: Producer's Cut. It exists now and I want it. This is my Christmas cause. Scream asked a question is people were interested in Halloween sequels to gauge interest. I said yes. Why? Because I want this movie.

Now, if Echo Bridge has to release it I don't really care either. I just want it out either way.

Yes. Let me take a moment to personally thank every one of you that donated. It is an especially nice thing to do, especially considering how I never did ask anyone to do so. I will graciously accept it. I will say right now that my first BD will be my favorite movie, Gremlins (in the 3-pack with. The New Batch and The Goonies). Following this would be some SF titles (From Beyond, Swamp Thing, Night of the Comet) and The Tim Burton Collection.

I really think once you see the 1080p difference you will be hooked. I was a late adapter of the technology myself.

Nice cover, I got it for around £10.00 at Amazon.ca. Pretty cheap.
