It didn't. Paperhouse is really an amazing movie. Roger Ebert loved it, and it is famous for its long held 100% Fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

I have Waxwork overseas in its OAR..
There are so many titles that really need to be upgraded even if its am HD master on DVD, but with blu ray technology, some films really need it. Movies like Fright Night II, Watchers, the Godzilla movies, things either VHS quality , wrong OAR, cut footage are titles I am most interested in getting HD releases..and older movies..Remember to respect your elders !
Good HD announcements for me are Without Warning, The Brain That Wouldn't Die, Watchers , Godzilla 1985 , Godzilla vs King Ghidorah, and Fright Night II

I agree with you, would love to see all of the above you mentioned on blu. I have the UK release of Watchers in its OAR and watch it quite often.

Anyone seen Dead Cert? I'm thinking of picking it up direct, as part of their BOGO deal. How is it?

I just saw that the DVD is available on NetFlix so I think I will try that out before throwing down cash in a blind-buy scenario. Aside from a young and beautiful Jessica Harper and Brian de Palma being in his prime, I probably wouldn't be interested in this movie.

Thanks for the input!

It was released on Blu in France and it looks absolutely beautiful.

Here's one of the features from the disc, a great interview with Bernard Rose:

If I had it my way and Shout could only rescue one film from Liongate, Paperhouse would without a doubt be it.

They are sitting on gold mines and don't even know it. Guess they're blinded by all the other money thats being made from their more mainstread recent films, and "classic" re-releases.

If Liongate knew what they were doing, they'd relaunch Vestron Video to handle their cult and horror retro releases.

Seriously though, they have a massive catalog. It'd be a dream come true. New Retro-Vhs style art with reversible covers, ala Mondo or Arrow, Scream Factory. It'd be amazing.

Lionsgate is to busy on their knees with Tyler Perry and Hunger Games movies to remember what made them to begin with.

I think those are amazing projects to be working on, and they certainly have what should be a great future ahead of them, but I agree, they should pay some attention to their horror catalog, that or license them out.

But no sense in complaining about it, as annoying as it is that they are ignoring the genre that built them.

great movie, unrelated to this, but they should have a list on the forums of all the great movies that are only on VHS and never were upgraded to DVD. I can think of so many movies I always wanted that never were on DVD only VHS or they were on DVD but region 2

I assume that it would be the same cut that's available in the 2 movie version, so yes.
