Who do we know owns the rights to their own films that SF should get in contact with? Feel free to add to the list...
-Peter Jackson (Bad Taste, Dead Alive, Meet the Feebles)
-Brian Yuzna (Bride of Re-Animator, Society)
-Double Helix Films (Sleepaway Camp 2&3)

Forgive me if I missed something or forgot, but any idea on how the transfer of Darkman will be? Isn't this Universal?

I honestly like Sleepaway 2 better than the first. Including Freddy's glove, Jason's mask, and Leatherface's chainsaw (I think) was hilarious! Would love to see a Blu Ray!

Apparently, it's the same transfer as the previous release.

I agree. Although Part III is by far my favorite. I enjoy them all.

Last I knew Dead Alive (Already on disc) and Bride of Re-Animator were Lionsgate. Worked on Bride over 10 years ago when they did a cheap letterbox version of it, where the disc would use a subtitle stream to generate the cropping.

Probably doesn't have an HD master to this day.

I don't know why the rights would vary from region to region, so perhaps someone should just ask Capelight Pictures who they licensed out the film from...

Bride reverts back to Yuzna this year. Dead Alive, Feebles, and Bad Taste are all believed to now be back with Jackson.

You are on top of it. Perhaps a career as an entertainment lawyer?

Why does the official Darkman thread say that it is a new master?

Bride of Re-Animator has a HD master. Watched it this pass summer on Comcast on-demand and it looked pretty damn good.

I ordered from them for the first time a week before Christmas. SATURN 3 which was listed as instock and AT WORLDS END.
next day I check for status and SATURN 3 is out of stock and said I would have it within 30 days. Meanwhile my credit card was charged for both titles (not pending but actually charged).

After a couple of days of back and forth I got SATURN 3 refunded and cancelled but when I tried to cancel WORLDS END they said it was already shipped (I was cancelling that one because it was $9 higher than Amazon which had just reduced it). When I called on that they refused to give me the price difference.

I was going to return it but then decided "lesson learned"... I will never order from them again.

btw when asked about SATURN 3 saying instock they said that their system only updates each morning so something you order during the day may in fact be sold out (but will say instock) and "you can always call to make sure"

I don't think it does... not officially, at least.

Prior to today, there had been a lot of speculation in that thread about a new transfer, especially of the 2K/4K scan variety, for some reason. I don't think any Scream Factory representatives (here, on Facebook or elsewhere) made any prior comments about a new transfer forthcoming, though.

That's terrible! Where do you usually go for Scream titles?

I could not tell if it was or not. It was the first time I've seen the film since the special edition DVD came out which was many years ago.

well I've ordered a lot from AMAZON (when they drop to a better price) but my best luck so far has been with DVD EMPIRE. I've ordered stuff from them for years and have always had a good experience.

Ironically I got SATURN 3 from them a few days later and it was on sale for a little less than Family Video along with BEAST WITHIN and CRAWLSPACE which were also on sale. I think it was $17.50 or so for Saturn 3 and $12.50 or so for the other two... (free shipping (over $25) and no tax are extra benefits...
