I've heard a rumor that Exorcist II: the Heretic could be one of the new lines to be produced by Scream Factory. Anyone hear about this or can confirm it?

Seriously, where do these 'rumors' originate? Exorcist II has already been confirmed as a WHV release, and even if it hadn't been, it has been repeated COUNTLESS times that WB don't license titles out!

As do I but it'll probably never happen. The 2004 version gets a longer shelf life but the original doesn't. Something's wrong.

That's correct, Disney's rights lapsed on the library and they reverted back to Corman which is who Shout made the deal with.

A bit late I know, but the early Peter Jackson films are back with Wingnut, his company, and he does have plans to restore them all, has already talked about remastering Bad Taste, but Wingnut is completely involved in The Hobbit at the moment and won't even consider looking at an offer or deal until the Hobbit is all done, so I'm guessing this time next year hopefully they might start looking at things, or they might wait until the last Extended Edition is released.

I thought so, but where did you get this from? I trust you, being closer to Jackson's homeland than I am.

Arrow Video's response to extensive inquiries about releasing Peter Jackson's early works

The Bad Taste restoration though is from a New Zealand newspaper article about the anniversary of it I think I was.

Also found this trying to find that NZ article

Really off topic, but you know what I just hate about being 16 and with no licence? I cannot go meet Lloyd Kaufman next weekend at a screening of Return to Nuke Em High. I can't drive in, and even if I could get there, I wouldn't be able to get into the screening. Not to mention, my mother, who thinks I often have bad taste in movies, will not go to it with me, and even if she was, she would in no way agree to the midnight screening that it is.

Let's Scare Jessica to Death is one of my favourite horror movies ever. Would love to see Messiah of Evil on blu from that era, too.
