I watched that around Halloween and while the film itself didn't age as well as I'd hoped it really is a very nice release. The supplements alone are worth a decent chunck of that sixteen bucks.

Ok, if that Sleepaway Camp art is final, then I feel some very familiar nightmares returning from my childhood VHS days *hides under blanket*

I still haven't seen it. But I know the ending. I watched Robot Chicken religiously a few years back and thought they made the film up until I saw The Cinema Snob's review of it.

Dawn of the Dead is out-of-print, so I'd agree. Plus the alternate cuts need some attention.

Evil Dead was lacking extras (excluding the limited edition), Evil Dead II already has a cheap, stacked blu-ray release from Lionsgate, and Army of Darkness is in the same boat as Dawn of the Dead.

Dawn of the Dead is being transferred into 3-D allegedly, plus the rightsholder wants too much money for it. So, thats not happening any time soon.

Evil Dead is with Anchor Bay, so no. Army of Darkness is with Universal, but they want to hang onto it, even though Shout Factory has a nice relationship with them.

Dawn is way too expensive. Evil Dead 1 is with Anchor Bay for the foreseeable future. Evil Dead 2 is currently in Lionsgate's iron grip (the BD is filled with extras, though). Army of Darkness has the best chance of happening, although the chances are slim, as Universal won't give up the film without persistence.

It's hands down the most f-ed up ending ever, and literally jaw dropping.

I'd hate for the ones that are awaiting the blu-ray and trying to evade the spoilers, to just see these pics all over this forum.

That damn cover is ugly anyway. Why the hell would someone upload that? Hopefully not wishful thinking. lol.

if that's even really possible...I'd advise Scream Factory not to use that cover art for any release of Sleepaway Camp....it's just bad form to do so...

I'd be fine if they used Angela's face from that scene. But that's it...

they'll definitely be using the shoe and knife poster on the reverse, but I'm anxious to see the newly commissioned art.

I'm curious, not anxious. But I've never seen it.

I'm more psyched to see the art for Phantom.

I'm excited for Phantom as well. It'd be cool to have Winslow holding the plunger in his phantom costume. Maybe an electrocuted beef in the background, all standing on the stage with some of the other characters.

I hope the Sleepaway Camp cover incorporates the famous "Snake in the mouth" scene. Maybe even the curling iron.

It's really a good movie.

Supposedly, it already premiered in South Korea.

DAWN OF THE DEAD 3-D [WORLD PREMIERE]

2013 United States/Korea, South 127min DCP Color

A National Emergency grips the country. The corpses of the recently dead are returning to life and attacking the living, devouring their victims. In the big cities, the situation is acute as people panic and confusion reigns. Two members of the Philadelphia Police S.W.A.T. unit decide to escape the city. The two escape with their friends in a Traffic Helicopter taken from the Television Station. They fly over the Pennsylvania hills seeing that the phenomenon is spreading everywhere. They cannot land for refueling without being assaulted by bands of Zombies. The four finally manage to land on the roof of an enormous shopping mall. This is the original 1979 US Theatrical release version of George A. Romero's Dawn of the Dead lovingly and meticulously converted to spectacular 3-D under the supervision of Richard P Rubinstein whose producing credits also include Stephen King’s Pet Sematary as well as the Dawn of the Dead remake Zack Snyder directed in 2004.

I don't care what most people say about Anchor Bay's Dawn's PQ, to me it looks great on Blu and even though it's out of print, it can still be had for cheap. No, the transfer is not perfect and it has some DNR applied although not as excessive as some people claim it to be. IMO looks way better than the DVD released from AB years ago.
