Good fun film, @Warner Bros. through the Paramount deal. I love Eric Reds stuff!

Nosferatu, Evilspeak, and Final Exam for me. Beneath might be the first "modern" Scream Factory release I go for, since the concept sounds a bit cool.

Oh I didn't even see evil speak. I forgot about that one. I'm adding it to my list.

Yeah sorry the pics were big. I don't know why it did that when the others were normal sized.

I thought it looks pretty good also, but it's from and old master and has some DNR. So it could look better.

I really enjoyed it and I'm looking forward to seeing it again. It's a little corny at times, suspension of disbelief required, but it's a fun little creature feature done with practical effects. I'll be buying it, and I haven't bought the previous Chiller titles.

It's good. Chiller haters just dont like it for obvious reasons.

But its really a good movie. Fun and cheesy in the best way.

Chiller originals are inherently cheesy, but stuff like Remains is fun. Beneath is just bad, especially coming from someone as talented as Fessenden. To call it a "good movie" is a truly shocking thing to say.

It's better than any other Chiller original film I've ever seen. Including Remains.

If that's an unpopular opinion, so be it. But it's mine, and I stand by it...

I'm getting EVILSPEAK and NOSFERATU. Still hoping they release some older (before 1975) horror titles on Blu soon!

I worked on Remains as an extra for several days. My back is to the camera at the beginning playing black jack in the casino (which was really just the lobby of a hotel) and I am also in several of the zombie horde scenes. In the background of one scene I get shot by one of the soldiers in the back of a military truck, in another I am swarmed by a bunch of the "super" zombies. My girlfriend at the time was a "featured" zombie in the scene with the sleeping zombies and a girl that used to work as an assistant in my classroom was also a "featured" zombie who gets thrown out of a hotel room window.

As someone who used to want to be a filmmaker, I didn't care so much about being in the film but it was a really cool opportunity to see firsthand how a movie came together on set. Too bad the end product was absolutely awful. They actually played it at a theatre near my house for a week. I took my dad, who is not a fan of horror at all, and he literally laughed uproariously for the whole running time.

The other film that same company made, Dead Souls, was actually filmed primarily in the very small rural town I live in. So weird to think Bill Moseley was basically down the street from me and I had no idea! They also filmed a scene at Windham Hospital, which is right up the street from where I teach.

I'm looking forward to those two the most. I haven't seen Evilspeak since the 80's and Herzog's Nosferatu is a personal favorite of mine.
