Per Scream Factory on Facebook - there is art but I don't know how to copy and paste it here. Ive never heard of this one

**SURPRISE TITLE ANNOUNCEMENT!**

Happy Friday guys! Fans of 80s horror, grindhouse and women-in-prison films are in for a special treat as we are releasing the rare and long-lost 1985 exploitation film HELLHOLE this Summer on Blu-ray & DVD for the very first time this Summer!

Those of you who have seen this film know what fun it is. And a great cast of cult film & TV favorites highlight the wild shenanigans including Mary Woronov (Rock n Roll High School, Night of the Comet), Ray Sharkey (The Idolmaker, Wiseguys), Marjoe Gortner (Earthquake, Starcrash, Food of the Gods) and Judy Landers (BJ & The Bear, Vega$, The Love Boat).

Pre-order links should go up in sometime in March. Any extras we may have will be announced sometime in April.

For some of the titles that scream has released I would be willing to pay upwards of $50 if it was truly a 5 star release ( Halloween 2&3, prince of darkness, They live). I wish those releases would have been definitive. But for he most part I'm happy with paying a decent price for mid-tier releases. I don't need 5 star $40 releases of terrorvision, the island, lifeforce and psycho 2. I know a lot of you would disagree but just look at synapses demons 1&2 (releases I bought). All the moaning people did bc they were $46 a piece. Most people aren't willing to spend whatever it takes unless they really love that movie.

Scream would either have to give it their all and do a lot of expensive work to every title they release and charge a lot more or figure out a way to single out titles that they think would sell for a high price and go for it on a case by case basis. The third option is to just continue to do what they are doing now which really seems to be working out for them. By all account it seems like he scream line has been a big success for them and there is really no reason to change what's proven to be a winning formula.

Scream will continue to have its ups and downs with the quality of their releases and I think the best that we can hope for is that once they get around to the next title that I really like that it's not as screwed up as phantasm 2 but more like the howling which I still think is their best over all release to date.

Nice. Never heard of it though. Too bad Synapse won today's announcements.

This must have been a long time coming too. This has the same rights holder as Q... (Or does it?)

ImportCDs, bought The Fog and The Burning in their 10% off sale before Christmas, got the slipcovers on both in very good condition, except the sticker on the Fog was a ***** to get off

No, no glue. They're just bags. They're the same kind Family Video uses.

I guess I forgot that DeepDiscount / ImportCDs did that thing where they stick two sheets of white plastic to the DVD case and ship it.

I'm guessing Hellhole comes from Samuel Z. Arkoff's estate? Anyone else thinking Scream Factory probably got the rights to

That would be awesome if they did get the rights to The Final Terror. A great title that has never even been released to dvd. They did say that they acquired a few never before to dvd titles. Obviously Hellhole is one....wouldn't it be great if Final Terror is the other

If you can call that a dvd release - it looked like it had been ripped from a VHS source.

I guess Columbia Pictures (and now Sony) only had home video distribution rights rights for HELLHOLE - I used to have the VHS and it had an RCA/Columbia logo. Nevertheless, great acquisition for Scream Factory! This was rumored to be coming soon but from Scorpion, not SF. And don't even joke about Final Terror. If that were to come out thru Scream I would probably have a heart attack. It's not listed among the titles produced by Arkoff, though (according to Imdb). One Arkoff Productions title that caught my attention was THE EARTHLING. This would be another holy grail acquisition for me.

Hellhole sounds like fun. But, the above discussion about The Final Terror makes me wish more than anything that Scream Factory could get this film and put out a Collector's Edition. I'd give a ridiculous amount of money for this on blu with great PQ.

Abby would be cool. So would The Final Terror.

Best to assume they got at least one other? Since they said they had two deals for two films? Or whatever, right?

Watched Hellhole earlier on YouTube and enjoyed the hell out of it! Sure its cheesy but damn if it wasn't entertaining. Its like a women in prison film but in a insane asylum.

I have never heard of Hellhole, not sure if it's worth the price.
