Im not bothering with butt..oops I mean Hellhole, not my type of genre film. It wouldnt surprise me if they did get more 2nd,3rd or 4th tier (for lack of a better word) titles like Final Terror and Night Warning. They might cost less to license if they are on a budget and its chance to make some fans who are into those films and want them happy.
I think the better stuff is coming (at least to me) in the second half of 2014. I bet we will see another Code Red title at some point too.

I'd love to see more Code Red from Scream Factory.

I too would like to see Scream Factory distribute more of Code Red's licensed titles.

As of right now, they say they didn't. And I see no reason to speculate that they did/didn't get Night Warning. I'm sure if the Code Red stuff goes over well, then they might go back to Bill for a few more. As of now, I think it is safe to say they do not have Night Warning. If they did, they'd likely have announced it with the other two. And Bill hasn't hinted at it, to my knowledge.

The great thing about Shout Factory is that they cater to EVERY taste. Not into slashers? Fine, stick with Vincent Price, Hammer (Vampire Lovers) or Neanderthal Man. And don't forget their regular, non-Scream titles like the ITV stuff (Sophie's Choice, Eagle Has Landed, etc). There's a little something for everyone. Thank goodness for Shout Factory

If Scream do licence from Code Red again, I'd love to see Madman (if CR still have the rights to this), Night Warning and Rituals (the print used by CR suggests a Blu-ray is unlikely, but then again I'd have said the same about The Redeemer, given the problems that had).

For some reason Gary Sales doesn't want a Blu-ray made for Madman. Not sure why.

That is strange, as I imagine it would be a (relatively) big seller. It's surely one of the last big 80s slashers yet to appear on Blu-ray.

Yeah it's one I really want, I asked Scream Factory about it and they said he wasn't interested in a Blu-ray release of the film. I would like to see the film in HD with the blue tint put back in.

Yes I was going to add, I'd want the palette more like the Anchor Bay DVD release.

Well hopefully he'll come round at some point.

The only Hellhole I know is this one:

But I'll give anything with Mary Woronov a chance.

I hope he changes his mind. Is he afraid to make money? I hope that the answer you got from Shout was a smokescreen. I hope it is just a ploy and they are saving it as one of their bigger CE's for 2015. Wouldn't be the first time they have led us to believe something wasn't coming to blu and then reveal it at a later date.

This contradicts something I read on AV Maniacs a while back by Gary himself, who apparently joined that forum just to post that he was working on a director's cut for Blu-ray. He also said he was developing a remake. I guess his plans changed.

SCORE!

I was at the mall today persusing the Blu-rays at a shop. I was checking to see if they had CAT PEOPLE...they do but I'm balking at the price right now (I still have the old HD DVD).

But just as I turned away, something caught the corner of my eye. it was a copy of NIGHT OF THE DEMONS! Not only was it out early, but it has been misplaced on the shelf in the "D" section. The word "DEMONS" is so large that the person stocking the shelves probably didn't notice the word "NIGHT OF". Had it not been right next to the "C"s where I was looking for CAT PEOPLE, I never would have seen it.

Of course, I bought it. I'm just about the crack open the shrink wrap to inspect the discs...hold on, I'll do that right now. Yes; the discs are in perfect condition (I always do a physical examination of new discs to check for scratches or other flaws).

This is definitely on tap for viewing tonight.

I think it's more of a smokescreen by Scream Factory.

I hope they do, and I'd probably get all four of those - though Madman and Rituals would be higher on my wish list.

Heresy!

Agreed - Madman has some downright elegant cinematography, and the blue tint added a beautifully stylised look to it.

Of the 80's slashers yet to be announced on blu, I'd say Madman and Hell Night are the two most important titles.

Its a business. They don't set out to be sneaky, it just happens sometimes.

I genuinely don't think they currently have any other Code Red titles.

I agree with you. There is a lot of competition right now for these films. So sometimes a little sneakiness must come into play. It'd stink to almost have a deal worked out for a title, and have another company come in and try to outbid for a movie.
