The Mutilator needs a proper release. And maybe Night of the Demon (yes, without an "s"). I haven't seen either of these.

The Bigfoot one? It may be with image! as it is currently in a set with Sister Sister, Hooker Cult Murders, a Dee Wallace flick, etc.

IF not the big foot one then this one is phenomenal.

Wow, these last couple of pages have been totally foreign to me. I don't think I've heard of any of these films...err, movies. I can't really be sad though - I'm glad that some of you are thrilled about these releases - Lord knows I have enough Scream films I haven't even watched yet on my shelf. At my rate, it'll take me a year or more just to go through those, lol.

(Besides, I have upcoming Godzilla releases to prepare for... )

Code Red's still selling it on DVD, so your guess is as good as mine.

I'd probably add Silent Night, Deadly Night to the mix and say they were the three biggest certainly.

April Fool's Day

I would personally say Alone In The Dark and The Initiation too, but I'm not sure if those are quite as well embraced.

Doh! You guys are absolutely right regarding Silent Night, Deadly Night and April Fool's Day. I had considered The Initiation, but it doesn't seem to have quite the iconic appeal as the others. Now, Silent Night, Deadly Night is perhaps the most important missing title because of the controversy it caused. That said, my personal preferences would be Hell Night and Madman - those two are just good, old-fashioned scare rides.

I will be floored if SNDN doesn't get a release this year as it's the movies 30th anniversary and beings the R rated version remastered hit theaters in a limited run this past Christmas / December I cannot imagine it won't get a release.

However, if the only version that is released to Blu-Ray is the R rated cut there's almost no reason to purchase as the unrated version extends ever death scene significantly. SNDN would be PERFECT for a Scream Factory or even Blue Underground release.

My most sought after Blu-Ray

another one that I've watched more times than I can count on DVD is Slugs. It's from 1987 and directed by JP Simone, director of other classics like "Pieces" and "The Pod People".

Slugs is hilariously acted by Italians posing as Americans and features some stomach churning gore. Much better than The Nest, Squirm and other nature run amuck type of flicks.

He also did Endless Descent.

Figured I'd apologize for going on a bit of tirade on here about some of the members and their habits. I tend to fly off the handle, but I usually don't let it show through when it comes to my online persona.

Anyway, I've never seen the "Cat People" remake, and even with a less than stellar video quality review and some people's comments on the bonus materials kind of sucking and lacking. I blind bought it anyway. I guess if I end up loving it I'll pick up the Universal DVD and put it in a case with the Scream blu-ray.

I kept watching the trailer and really enjoying what I saw, it seems like the film has a really cool atmosphere about it. Also, not to mention a fair amount of actors I enjoy.

What are your thoughts on the picture quality?

I just ordered it on Amazon so I haven't gotten it yet, but going by the score this site gave it appears to be less than stellar. It could be a number of things. Maybe these are simply the best elements available, maybe it's something else or maybe whoever reviewed it is one of those people who love to bash Scream Factory's efforts when it comes to their transfers.

From the looks of things it's a typical Universal DNR and EE job, but wether of not you like it depends on how anal you are about those sorts of things.

From the looks of caps, the DNR is fairly noticeable but the EE shouldn't be annoying.

My most anticipated horror release this year is Nightbreed . Can't wait for that one. I noticed that Shout posted in their FB some material/photos of the movie. I really hope this release is packed with extras.

It will. Barker and the people of Occupy Midian have been working for years to achieve this release. So, it will have as much as possible.
I will have to see the Cabal Cut, as I adored the book but hated the theatrical cut past the first 20 minutes. I hope for a third act that I can actually understand. And yes, you did read that right. I read the book and still could not tell what the hell was happening in the final battle.

Nightbreed The Cabal Cut I imagine will be a truly packed disc. I hope it gets a documentary like the one on Day of the Dead which was epic.

Has Amelia Kinkade disowned Night of the Demons or something? She is undoubtedly the star of the movie and the series. Why is she not featured in any of the new interviews for the collector's edition blu ray?
