I'd like it if they included the excised footage as an extra though.

That's for sure. The only other horror movies I can think of offhand that I'd rank above it from 2000 or later are May, Pan's Labyrinth, El Orfanato and Let the Right One In. And maybe [Rec], The Descent and Ju-On if I'm in the mood for being freaked out. Speaking of May, Scream Factory should get on that one

The Beast Within
The Vincent Price Collection (all the titles)
Night of The Comet
Psycho 2
Psycho 3
Body Bags
Halloween 3
Die, Monster, Die!
The Evictors
TerrorVision (I watched half on Netflix, couldn't watch the rest, but I'm trying)
The Incredible Melting Man
The Vampire Lovers
Chilling Visions
Eve of Destruction
All Night Horror Marathon Vol 1 ( Titles I haven't watched: "What's the Matter with Helen?" and "The Vagrant")

Everything else I have watched or have watched before, tell me what I should start with first or in your opinion the best. Thank you
Vincent Price Collection and Halloween 3 are my suggestions. But I feel that those are the best of your list, so you might want to save them for last.

I agree, but I'd also add Psycho II.

Night of the Comet is finally a decent price and I want to order from Amazon. It's been like a month and a half do I still have a good chance of getting the slipcover?

I agree. As long as Barker approves of this cut, it is a Director's Cut after all, I'm happy.

That's probably still in Lionsgate's clutches.

Once the preorder for Ginger Snaps and Dog Soldiers goes up, count this girl in! Love the Ginger artwork so the posters they often have would be a coup. I was just in awe when I first saw it. .. the dialog is so smart and fresh between the sisters, dark humor all over. The family dinner scenes are quite hilariously wicked. Yet there's also some beautiful pathos to the girls too. The final shot is heart breaking.

That reminds me. I still have to watch the last fifteen minutes... Bad sign there. I had to take four months in between to finish it.

It sounds like the first 3 months is the best time to buy when it comes to slipcovers. I'd imagine you'd be pretty safe although i can't garantee anything.

As someone whose never seen the film this seems like the best option. If this cut is Clive Barker approved (if there calling it a director's cut then it better be) I'll probably end up blind buying it!

Thanks. And I wasn't thinking straight, it's been almost 2.5 months. Getting a little risky but I think I'll jump on it.

I work in YA novels, and I can tell ya: Teen girls spend seven years wishing they were something ELSE:
The romantic ones wish they were vampires, the new-agey ones wish they were fallen angels or reincarnated gods, and the ones crabby about their periods wish they were werewolves. We get the crabby ones.
(And if the "Drug addict" metaphor escaped you in this one, tune in for the "Cranky rehab" sequel.)
