I really hope for a Vincent Price II set - the first one was so damn good..
Id like to see a set with Tales of Terror, Oblong Box, Scream and Scream Again for starters..maybe even Tower of London, the Raven, Dr Phibes Rises Again and Theater of Blood ...a huge Price set would be dreamy..too bad they cant get some of the movies he did for Columbia like The Tingler !

Dead Alive is a definite no, rights reverted back to Wingnut who intend to restore and release it along with Bad Taste and Meet The Feebles once the Hobbit is done.

So like a year or two from now, but Bad Taste has been confirmed for a restoration

Isn't Cemetery Man with Fox? They released the VHS and Anchor Bay licensed from them for their DVD.

That would be the list, pretty much, and for the stated reasons.

Although might have to change the lineup a bit after The Shadow and Darkman come out.

Is it just me or is Dr. Phibes like a proto-Jigsaw killer?

I saw it with one friend who was CONVINCED the "Nine Plagues" idea was based on a Poe story, just because Vincent Price was in it. And Edgar would've done it too, if he'd thought of it.
(Doubtless many others are convinced House of Wax was a classic book, too.)

Actually, the 20's-period setting and Scotland Yard inspector who tracks the case was trying to give it more of a Sax Rohmer Fu Manchu vibe, and the sexy-evil daughter pretty much cemented it.

Well, Witchboard was a real letdown movie-wise. I can tell already the extras will be better than the film itself haha.

The howling
Night of the demons
The fog
Halloween 3
Prince of darkness

My personal favorites from screams lineup. All 5 are horror classics.

I would say that almost all of the collectors editions are worthy owning. The non CE's are really hit or miss. You have to really love the genre to dig some of those movies.

The Fog
Prince of Darkness
The Howling
Terror Train
Phantasm 2

Not necessarily based on the strengths of the A/V quality, but these are probably my five favorite releases so far. That could change as I watch some of the more recent releases. Since the September releases I've been really behind in watching them, since so many movies (not just Scream Factory releases) were released since then. I've still got to watch the Psycho sequels, the Vincent Price set, the Amityville set, and many others. Night of the Demons has always been a personal favorite of mine, so I expect that one to become one of my favorite releases. I'm also eagerly anticipating the Bad Dreams/Visiting Hours double feature, Ginger Snaps, and Nightbreed.

For non-collector's editions, I thought The Beast Within, Death Valley, and The Town that Dreaded Sundown were all great.

Thanks for the responses, guys. I was thinking more along the lines of what would appeal to the widest audience more than personal faves, which are always going to be debatable. Terrorvision? No way in Hell. You may love it, but I can't see that ever being considered a 'fantastic' film in terms of broad audience appeal.

I'm definitely in for The Howling and The Fog, though!

Yeah, The Beast Within was a nice surprise for me too. Very... disturbing

Just had another rewatch of "The Night Flier" its such an awesome little movie well deserving imo of the scream CE treatment. I know its been said by others on here that Rubenstien isn't the easiest to negotiate with but it would be nice if they (or anyone) could work something out.

I thought TerrorVision was decent. I wasn't expecting the overacting, so it took me a while to get into it. I didn't like The Video Dead at all, though.

I don't think you could go wrong with those. I think any John Carpenter film probably has a wide appeal, except for maybe Body Bags, but I enjoyed that one. I hadn't seen Prince of Darkness until I bought the blu-ray, and it was excellent. Probably my best blind buy from Scream Factory's lineup.

Maybe it's HBO they need to negotiate with since HBO released the DVD. I agree that it's an awesome little movie.
