Oookay...who's taking it seriously? The "tongue-in-cheek" moments are exactly why this movie works, for me.

Since Arrow is releasing White of the Eye I just checked it out the other night, didn't really like it....thought it was very meh. Felt like a made for TV movie.

But aren't you forgetting Texas Chainsaw Massacre 4: Next Generation? If they got that one. I'd love an SD copy of the original cut "Return of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre" on the disc.

I personally think its criminally underrated, and from talking to people I think I know why, they don't get that the weird guy at the end is in the Illuminati and it's saying, in a very meta way, that all Slasher killers are strategically placed by the Illuminati on purpose, including Leatherface and his family. It's actually very smart and not as repetitive as the rest of the TCM movies.

Anyway, The reason I mention Sony is because of Candyman. That'd be the holiest of holy grail Barker titles that need released, even more than Rawhead Rex and LOI. So it'd make sense to go for that one if you are trying to make Barker's work come to blu-ray. Just sayin...

I'd buy TCM 4. I would love it if Scream Factory could get the rights to Leatherface, but that's with Warner so I know it won't happen. And since Warner has adopted a no unrated cut policy, I believe the current DVD might be the definitive version.

I really like the Lake Placid art - for once a subtle cover without trying to cram as many plot strands and floating heads as possible. I'd like to see more in this vein.

I think when done correctly, the "less is more" approach works quite well. This is certainly an example of it working very well.

Very much approve of the cover. I love this movie, and I couldn't say why. I just love it. Kind of like Jackie Brown, if I go past a channel and it is playing, no matter where it is in the movie, I have to stop and watch. Not that Jackie brown is a bad movie, just the opposite.

I can't say I'm much of a fan of Texas Chainsaw Massacre 4, but it does have its fans. Not to mention it has a young Mathew Mcconaughey and Renee Zellwegger. I completely agree about Candyman though. That would be an amazing Scream pick-up.
