Great response to Arrow Films which announced titles that people actually want... well Im sure some people will be happy...
These people read fan requests all day, say no to them and offer a Monkeys Paw instead ? I wont be blind buying this and it doesn't sound something that I would be interesting in spending money on.
Hooray for Arrow Films is really all I can think of !!

You really think Cliff and Shout are turning down the Without Warnings and Pumpkinheads of the world so they can instead focus on Chiller films? They fight to get what they can, which includes lower profile titles like The Monkey's Paw. They can't all be knockouts.

I guess I'm one of the few here that is actually thrilled over these BD and have nothing bad to say. Who cares if Scream Factory releases a region A BD of the Arrow announcement titles, Buy a region free BD player... I already done it.
Very rewarding to be able to buy any BD release and play it with no region worries. Arrow releases are better anyway, Not nearly as problematic compression or anything else.

no of course not, but lets face it - this goes to the way lower profile, along with Hellhole .. Im sure there are reasons they aren't, which is probably more of a cant in some cases for some titles.
I cannot see them saying No we don't want Pumpkinhead, we want the Monkeys Paw

I personally thought The Monkey's Paw was a little boring. I'm excited for Beneath though, I really liked that one.

Even though most of these ChillerTV movies haven't been very good, their announcements are harmless. If Scream didn't release them, someone else would. And since they already have an agreement with ChillerTV, I highly doubt it takes much time away from their retro output.

Shock Treatment has been denied recently.
The two Not of This Earth DVDs did not sell well enough for them.
SNDN may be coming from Anchor Bay this December.
Maximum Overdrive was said to be out of reach (may be the surprise).
Cheerleader Camp is Code Red, so maybe possible.
I Was a Teenage Werewolf is in rights hell.
Gator Bait 1&2 is held by difficult to work with rights holders (as is Rocktober Blood).
Not sure about the rest.

It's retro, it would definitely surprise since SF said they couldnt get it, and I think that's happened with a few other titles. Not really expecting, but I'll remain ever hopeful!

Not excited for another Chiller movie, but at least they will be announcing four retro titles soon! Plus hopefully they blow us away in May.

It seems like I'm down on Scream, but they ARE my favourite film company out there (Along with Synapse), and at least for me, their announcements have been lacklustre lately, especially compared to Arrow's huge announcement of titles, not to mention all the great releases Synapse has coming. Hopefully they come out swinging with these next announcements.
