I really hope they tap into older classics like Island of Terror or some old Black & White horror films. Too bad Dark Sky has the Flesh Eaters and its sitting in their vaults with no sign for an upgrade. Creature from Black Lake would be welcome in my world as well. Campy bigfoot crapola

If they are silent-they may have it
If they dont have it, they will publicly shoot it down
I wonder if more Universal titles could be coming, I heard there arent any more , can anyone confirm that ?
Cliff did confirm that all their Universal titles were already locked. Perhaps, in the future with their business relationship working out, more titles can be acquired.

Cliff said (in this thread) that they announced all of their Universal titles.

Serirously, Miramax should do what Fox is doing; have 2 sub-licensors. They should have Echo Bridge for the casual buyer and Anchor Bay or Shout! for the collector.
Miramax's investors wanted the entire catalog they purchased from Disney exploited as quickly as possible for the maximum amount of money. The Miramax transaction was unusual in Hollywood dealings because it was a bunch of outsiders that bought it.

My guess, with no insider knowledge of the bidding process, is that Miramax wanted to license out a bigger chunk of their catalog at one time than Shout Factory was willing to commit. Both Lionsgate and Echo Bridge licensed several hundred movies at once from Miramax and that was possibly a larger commitment than Shout wanted for some obscure horror movies. Someone going through back issues of Variety could probably dig up the dollar amounts.

Yeah, I'm scooping up "The Seven-Per-Cent Solution" as well, it looks like a fun mysteryesque flick and that poster art is wonderful.

Here is some MGM titles, I would like to see released to BD. I would say 98% would be overlooked, but its my dream list all the same.

Blood And Lace
The Abominable Dr. Phibes/ Dr. Phibes Rises Again
Count Yorga, Vampire/ The Return Of Count Yorga
The Night Stalker/ The Night Strangler
Grave Of The Vampire
Invasion Of The Bee Girls (uncut this time).
Deranged (include brain scooping scene as extra).
Burnt Offerings
The Incredible Melting Man (would love to see the uncut stuff).
The Fog
The Howling (include the extra omitted from the US DVD).
The Brood
Scanners
Motel Hell
The Beast Within
The Burning
Lifeforce
Pumpkinhead

I really don't think these titles would go overlooked, Brett. On the contrary, I think many of us are in full agreement with seeing the majority of your titles come to fruition. I know I'd love to see Scream Factory end up with "The Burning", "The Fog", "The Incredible Melting Man", "The Howling" and more. I'm sure we're bound to see a bunch of these come out in the future.

Well the titles you just mentioned, taking out Melting Man, I put in that 2% and see getting a release. The older titles I do not see happening. I would be elated if some of them got a BD release!

Believe me, you guys aren't alone on that one! Cliff has expressed his love for the flick many times but unfortunately it's tied up with Lionsgate. The potential of what a banner like Scream Factory could do for a film like "Chopping Mall" just seems so right. I hope they can get their paws on it one of these days. I need my robot mall patroling killers in HD ASAP!

I tried bypassing it by starting the movie and using the pop-up feature while it plays and still had similar issues. Maybe Cliff can shed some light on it.

I have the same problem with Halloween II and III.

Be nice
I experienced the same issues. Rebooting it always does the trick, though it's a tad frustrating that it seems to be a recurring issue.

Has anyone posted the reverse cover for Funhouse yet?

Never say never, the "Phibes" films especially have so much going for them and really strike a cord with cult lovers. After all, it's Vincent Price! Those films would look amazing in HD with their art deco look. They certainly fall within the time period of films that Scream Factory is really aiming for with this banner so anything's possible.

Motel Hell was just on AMC's horror marathon this morning. DVR'd it, can't wait to see how it looks.

Lets hope that turns out to be true!

I think Melting Man has a better chance of being released in a foreign market since it is part of the MGM MOD program in the states. Although thinking about it, getting a release would be no stranger than Universal releasing its own Halloween 2 BD first. So who knows, it is a wait-and-see game.

No doubt about it, some titles are coming. It's not a matter of if, but when and who (might be Shout, might be MGM). The Fog is one of those titles.

What's up with Shout Factory not changing your address on your order?? I moved and they will not change my address for my pre-order because of their "policy"!! Anybody else have this issue!?
