Would I upgrade them ? Sure, but until then I can watch them, and I still have 3 VHS tapes left

Only 3? ive still got stacks of them and still buy them regularly from thrift shops/flea markets...something like 60% of films havent even made it to dvd yet let alone blu ray (i even have a big rubbermade bin full of Betas) and sometimes theres nothing better then watching a old slasher flick in all of its glorious crappy/fuzzy/grainy VHSness

Home for the Holidays would be nice. But I don't know that it'd sell well or how well known it is. It wouldn't be bad on a disc with a couple other titles, considering there probably wouldn't any extras and heck, I'd be happy and content with just the movie.

Yep only 3..I never caught onto slasher movies until last year thanks to Scream Factory and other friends who love that genre. I should say, more of the lesser known (to me) / not mainstream slashers...outside of Jason, Michael Myers, etc..more along the lines of Slaughter High, Prom Night 1 & 2, Slumber Party Massacre..I checked out so many movies that I never even considered watching before...
I really dont like crappy VHSness anymore but thanks for the memories Actually I hated VHS because the tapes would sometimes make buzzing sounds or fall apart in the VCR with all of that tape tangled. I couldnt wait to replace all my videos with discs. So now Im down to 3 tapes ..I still rent movies on VHS from time to time.
I used to have a huge VHS collection with all the monster movies, classic horror movies, hammer horror movies, those Anchor Bay clamshell tapes..all the Godzilla movies, all the Abbott and Costello movies..Star Wars, Back to the Future...
I never got into beta or laserdisc..I had considered laserdiscs but by then DVD was booming

Not to mention Buried Alive 2, which I believe was directed by Tim Matheson, as well as starring.

You're most welcome. I believe it was released around the same time they released 'What Ever Happened to Baby Jane?'.

I love this hag horror/ grand dame guignol/ psycho-biddy/ hagsploitation/ whatever-you-want-to call-it sub-genre. Hope we will see more released in the future.

I watched Cat People last night. Was pretty good. A little on the slower side though.

And Nastassja Kinski is beyond gorgeous.

I guess I shouldn't brag but I was able to get Night of the Demons almost a week before the release date at HMV.

I'm not expecting too much though, it will be at most a few minor titles.

Personally, I find your passion for certain movies refreshing. I really had no interest in Ginger Snaps before, but you have made me genuinely curious, so now I am going to pick it up when it's released. Whether that is something to be thankful for, I'll have to get back to you on.

No need to apologise, I took no offence and you didn't seem rude at all.

Glad I have at least convinced you to give GS a chance. I don't expect everyone to love it because, to use a clichéd phrase, we're all different, init. I would expect most people to at least praise the screenplay and direction, even if they don't end up resonating with it.

I've shown it to two women: My ex girlfriend and current bird. They both HATED it. My ex couldn't even believe I had the audacity to show it to her. My current one was a bit more polite but still confused as to why I liked it, lol.
It's funny as it's often considered to be somewhat of a feminist film. But me, a strong, tall, intelligent and masculine male finds it completely timeless and one of my top 10 films of all time. Strange, eh?

Announcement day. Nothing from Universal for me, though, until there's a change in management. There's someone at the studio with his trigger finger on the DNR button and he's gotta go.

I'll go for Legend of Hell House and this surprise title they've been touting. Let's try Rawhead Rex for that one.

I'd be surprised if they announced 2 of the (presumably) 3 Fox titles they have left.

I would just be happy if they announced "Dolls" today. I'm sure they won't, but it would be awesome.

No reviews are up yet as far as I know, but the 101 Films release of Dolls is dirt-cheap ($14.45 when converted) and includes a commentary track.
