Good, the previous Universal releases have been by far the most controversial titles, and it makes an MGM deal more likely

MGM? Are you knocking?

Sorry to dissapoint guys but these two are still stuck in a tricky legal mess so it isn't these. Hopefully something will change down the road.

Good choices but The Keep is with Paramount (we tried, and could not get) and The Hidden is with Warner Bros which we have no film sub-license agreement with.

Sorry, Code Red has Butcher Baker and Salem's Lot is firmly with Warner Bros.

I hate legal limbos. I wish they never existed. Horror movies are so hot there are legal fights over them. Who could possibly be fighting over BLOOD BEACH?

Personally speaking, if I thought for I second I had any stake in anything (or any film), even as dumbs as the Wild Women of Wongo, or Manos... I'd fight for it or at the very least not let someone else take the profit I should have (in my mind, anyway).

It might seem dumb to us, but I totally get why someone would fight over Hell Night or Blood Beach. Js...

Who are the idiots on Facebook who keep requesting WB properties, when it's been stated A BILLION TIMES that they don't license titles out? Also, Curtains? Really? Did anyone request Prom Night or Suspiria? (Probably.)

They haven't said no to Without Warning, Motel Hell or Pumpkinhead, Phantasm, Fright Night II for that matter..or Legend of Hellhouse, or any MGM Midnight Movie come to think of it...at least I haven't noticed anything

I think these will be titles that have been requested. Hope for the best...

Yep both were requested, and a few others that are either already out or are already coming from someone else.

Are they just in it for playing some type of guessing game at what they have and aren't even fans? Lol.

I'm pretty confident Scream will be releasing Motel Hell and Pumpkinhead this year, but I have no idea if those will be the two announced today.

April Fool's Day's Warner.

Maybe in a couple years when it's back with Paramount, they'll pick it up.

I hope one of them is Motel Hell, it would be nice to have a US release of it. Maybe I should just upgrade to a region free player, just not sure where to get one...

I "get it" too. Fighting for a movie is one thing but fighting to hang onto it without plans to release it (or letting someone else release it) is dumb. A large pool of folks want the movie released but you're fighting to hang onto it. What for?

Is there any evidence of a new MGM deal?

Since people are now throwing around Pumpkinhead and Motel Hell.

I have actually been suspecting a Sony deal.

There isn't really any evidence to any specific deals other than Fox and something Clive Barker-related, that I'm aware of. If that Barker-related film is Lord of Illusions, then yes, there's probably an MGM deal in place. Obviously, Lord of Illusions wouldn't fit the description of the four titles hinted at since it's a 90's film, but if they do announce an MGM title tonight, Lord of Illusions will probably be a safe bet for a later announcement.
