But I just saw the shittiest freakin movie I've ever seen. Worse than even Manos in wtf factor. It was from 2012 and called 1313: Hercules Unbound! (streaming on Netflix) and it was so horrible that I almost cried laughing all the way through it. It's one of those crappy green-screen films in the 1313 line (called that because 1313 gets them higher on the streaming movies list of films in alphabetical order).

In the first few minutes you will see tradmark bad-acting, but beyond that there is a Greek god with a big tattoo of Texas on his inner-arm, a bodybuilder who flexes his pecs randomly throughout every uber-talkie scene he is in, gorgeous women that can't act to save their life, and lots of sweaty half naked guys running around pretending to be actors and occasionally their loin-cloth will sway to one side... And it aint a pretty sight. Almost every scene is filmed green-screen style and every shot is nearly identical, with talking, zoomed in on the actor's face. They shake hands and it's not in the same frame, which leads me to believe they may have not even filmed the scenes together. It's so deliciously awful that I loved it. This film should rise to the top of the heap of this generation's so-bad-its-good list.

It makes Plan 9 From Outerspace look like Citizen Kane. I implore you to check it out asap. Especially if you love flat out godawful movies like Bowanga, Bowanga or Thor and the Amazon Women.

Jesus that 1313 series looks like a bunch of gay porno movies, all the guys in boxers and topless men on the posters.

A little bit misleading poster for Tourist Trap. Didn't know it was called Horror Puppet.

Incredibly atmospheric, and a gets-under-your-skin type horror movie. Never even released on DVD in R1; I think it's with MGM.
Wow I've never herd of this one. Fingers Crossed its one day released on DVD/Blu-Ray. Do you know if it's on YouTube?? Would be great To see it.

I am sorry for the dumb question, but does anyone know how to change the variable cover on a scream release such as Darkman? Can't figure out how to get it out and replace without damaging the case itself.

Since they mentioned having certain titles and sitting on them for a while, I wonder if Motel Hell might be part of the original MGM deal and not necessarily an indication of a new one? I know they denied having it but we've established Scream are wont to do that from time to time. If so, I presume it's not the only MGM title they're holding back. Either way, hopefully they've got some MGM stuff lined up for the peak autumn months, like Pumpkinhead, Scarecrows, Dolls, Leviathan, The Believers, The First Power, etc. Maybe the Twilight Time MGM/UA deal forced their hand to go back to the table.

I sort of now know what kind of announcement NOT to expect from these little internet chats (which was poorly conducted IMO). They're never going to reveal smaller, lesser-known titles like Without Warning or Fright Night II. If they're taking time out of their busy schedules to participate in these chats they're going to use the time to reveal bigger stuff. LOHH is a fairly big - and popular - studio film, Motel Hell much less so but it's still a cult-y title with wide appeal. The smaller movies will get their spotlight on facebook (and 5 seconds later, on bluray.com ). Knowing this will temper my expectations a bit. Not that I was disappointed, just that one of the films announced has been in my collection for almost a year so I can't get as excited as I would've gotten if they had announced FN II. Still, great news.

Just saw on Facebook that Scream are not planning another Horror Marathon DVD set this year. That's disappointing. I guess the DVD sales in general weren't great. I suppose at least they didn't rule them out entirely as they seemed to do with the TV Terrors line.

Either that or they need to go back to MGM for more lesser-known titles to fill these sets out with.

Anything's possible, but if they did have this all along from the original deal, I'm a little surprised they didn't use it to try to flesh out their March or April release schedules a little more.

True but I imagine they view the spring months as lean periods anyway. The comment about 'sitting on' though was interesting. You wonder what that might include.

If they are saving some big titles for the fall, I do hope those titles include Pumpkinhead, Scarecrows, Dolls, and the title I'd look forward to the most for a fall release: Phantasm.

I'm excited about Motel Hell. I wanted it so badly during their first run of MGM titles, and now I can have it. That's a big get for slasher/80s horror fans. Particularly US fans.

Hell House is not my cup of tea really, but I'll buy it anyway, for Collector's sake.

I really hope so too. The cinematography is gorgeous and the director wants to do a director's cut from what I read on the IMDb forums.

It's not on YouTube as far as I know but I never did a thorough check. It was released on DVD in Australia and Germany.
