I own the Arrow release of Motel Hell, can't be topped in regards of picture quality and sound quality. I am definitely in for the legend of hell house though.

Either way, hopefully they've got some MGM stuff lined up for the peak autumn months, like Pumpkinhead, Scarecrows, Dolls, Leviathan, The Believers, The First Power, etc. Maybe the Twilight Time MGM/UA deal forced their hand to go back to the table.
I doubt it, Im sure Motel Hell was part of a new deal and just waited for the green light..be it a signature or what have you. I remember them saying *No* to Motel Hell quite a bit last year. Now its a Daniel Bryan *Yes*
Those 4 DVD sets probably didnt do well because it was DVD and the PQ wasnt good for all the titles. I bet if they decided to give titles like The Outing HD treatment it might have done better. The titles also arent top tier..they all have their share of fans but nothing as great as Motel Hell or Prince of Darkness..
Now I can imagine what Vincent Price II will have..Im guessing
Scream & Scream Again
The Oblong Box
Tales of Terror
Cry of the Banshee
Dr. Phibes Rises Again

and one of the Raven , Tower of London , Twice Told Tales, or Theater of Blood. Im getting the Arrow Blu Ray of Theater of Blood so if it's not included , it wont be a big deal anymore

Either that or they need to go back to MGM for more lesser-known titles to fill these sets out with.
Maybe they'll do a BD line next?

It's not on YouTube as far as I know but I never did a thorough check. It was released on DVD in Australia and Germany.
A member here at Blu-Ray.com tracked down the rights holder to Next of Kin, and was told by the rights holder that there are some legal issues that would hopefully be straightened out in the next couple of months.

This member said he sent the contact info to Synapse. Who knows if anything will work out.

The thread in question is in the wish list section, under the title "My unreleased slasher wish list".

With the two major announcements Motel Hell and The Legend of Hell House, a Major update to the poll, 40 new titles added and also the results of these two Titles and where the were in the ranks.

Motel Hell (1980) 28 Votes was 15th
The Legend of Hell House (1973) 9 Votes was 241th

Keep on Voting, also have over 400 titles that haven't been voted for, In two months I will tell you all the movies that haven't been voted for, then maybe all of you can tell me why they haven't been voted for. Keep on Voting, Link In sig.

What are the new announcements then? Have they been released? Can't be as bad as Arrow line up this year, that's for sure.

I'm not sure how anyone can complain about Arrow's announcements. Probably because they won't release Ginger Snaps.

Agreed, especially the Dr. Phibes set and Theatre of Blood. I've been extremely happy with the content and quality of the latest Arrow releases, at least from Black Sunday/ Black Sabbath onward.

I guess Arrow's releases aren't "important" enough for some of us!

Thank you. I think Arrow did their version of this Motel Hell film. Doesn't interest me anyway. Thanks again.

I'm liking where this Scream Factory is heading, though, releasing Dog Soldiers and all that. It's good. Them and Criterion are almost making me want to go region free.

I think that Arrow peaked around the last two years. That's fine, because I love some of the films they have brought out. I just watched King Of New York and trust me when I see that it's a splendid transfer with a decent 2.0 audio. It's probably their best restoration work yet and borderline reference quality. I wonder if they scanned that at 4k or something because the detail and image quality on this disc is brilliant.

In fact, i'm hoping Arrow do a Abel Ferrara collection like they've done with Brian DePalma and Dario Argentino or whatever his name is. Not many people are familiar with him, and there are MANY films of his I have yet to see. I know that they have the rights to a good number of his works.

Sorry, I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around this...you're liking where scream is going because of the ginger snaps and dog soldiers releases but motel hell is not for you and the arrow releases are all crap, I'm not knocking what you like, I'm just having a hard time figuring out what kind of horror fan you are. I'm pretty sure the vast majority of us here love scream factory because of the treatment they give to cult classics and you seem to come around and put them down and then talk up these newer film releases that i , and I'm sure others, could care less if they were released on scream or not...scream is a retro/classic/horror/cult label first and foremost, that's fine that they're releasing some newer stuff, I hope they make some money from them so they can release more of the great 70s/80s stuff we all love...that's cool that you like them but I'd wish you'd quit with all the put downs and little jabs regarding the movies for which this thread stands.
