I'd definitely pick both up, especially since they're both so cheap. The Outing, The Godsend, and Cellar Dweller were all really good IMO

They're worth getting as long as you temper your expectations in terms of video quality. Some of those flicks are Echo Bridge quality, especially The Outing.

I wonder if they scanned that at 4k or something because the detail and image quality on this disc is brilliant.

In fact, i'm hoping Arrow do a Abel Ferrara collection like they've done with Brian DePalma and Dario Argentino or whatever his name is. Not many people are familiar with him, and there are MANY films of his I have yet to see. I know that they have the rights to a good number of his works.

First of all, the name is Argento. Knowing artsy horror, you should know that.

And if they do that for Ferrera, don't forget to include his drunken commentary for Driller Killer.

Anyone else a little disappointed/ surprised LOHH isn't getting the Collector's Edition treatment? I guess a lot of the participates are no longer with us, but I would assume this is a bigger title then some of their other Collector's Editions titles, you think they would go all out. I would love to see a newly drawn slipcover for this flick!

I could care less which are or aren't Collector's Editions...

It's a banner that in no way reflects the quality or content.

I hate to say this but I'm kind of glad that they are not spending money on the "newly commissioned art."

Seriously, I would have thought their announcements would have pleased just about anyone. About two days before they made their announcement I was contemplating buying a DVD of "The Burbs" because I wanted to own it, but was stopped by the fact that the R1 dvds are all bare-bones and mostly in multi-movie sets. :/ I'm glad I didn't pull the trigger. I'll probably be getting "Sisters" and maybe "Theatre of Blood" too. That was IMO the biggest title missing from Scream Factory's Vincent Price set.

I'll probably pick up Legend of Hell House, I never heard of it until about 4 months ago when some guy I met told me I had to watch it and lent me his DVD. It's quite a good flick, it's like a really fast-paced version of The Haunting or something. The investigation team is in the house before the opening credits are even over! It's well-written, it's got a lot of good scares and some good performances and is just an all-around fun horror flick if you like haunted house sorts of movies. The DVD looked pretty bad so I'll be curious to see what this looks like. Good to see them releasing more stuff of that vintage.

Motel Hell is a movie I've seen three or four times over the years and it's pretty fun and is a lot better made than you'd expect it to be but I'm not sure if I'd bother buying it, it's sorta one of those movies that I'll watch if I see it's on while flipping through channels but don't bother seeking out. Maybe if it's got really amazing extras or something. It's definitely a good addition to their list, though.

EDIT: Forgot to mention that I picked up "Prince of Darkness" last week. I first watched it last year and didn't really like it but I just couldn't get it out of my head. Rewatching it this time, I LOVED it. It's one of the most off-the-wall concepts for a reasonably budgeted horror movie I can remember, and it manages to be creepy and ridiculous at the same time. The footage from the future especially is rather haunting. Great extras on that disc, too.

I have the single release of The 'burbs, and it is not bare bones. It has a single extra: alternate ending.

Legend of Hell House feels like a bigger title than Motel Hell to me, so I'm surprised it's not receiving the CE treatment. But like redrunner said, it's just a banner. I'm sure the film will receive a nice assortment of extras - hopefully some of the aforementioned deleted scenes will be available. Jeff and Cliff did mention during the podcast that many of their non-CE titles have just as many extras as the CE's. I hope they use the artwork that's been posted here.

Agreed - I don't expect a whole lot of extras for LOHH but as long as the PQ is excellent that works out for me !

Director John Hough and co-stars Revill and Hunnicutt are still alive, so I suppose they'd be interview candidates, but I'm guessing this will be bare-bones, other than trailer.

Have you seen Scream & Scream Again? I know the cast is drool-worthy but it is God awful. In fact, I don't even think Price, Lee and Cushing have any scenes together.

Otherwise I like your other suggestions but I would def like them to finish out the Corman-directed Poe series starring Price:

Tales of Terror
Tower of London
The Raven
The Tomb of Ligeia

I also think Dr. Phibes Rises Again and Theater of Blood are likely, esp. now that we know there is a blu ray transfer in existence. Theater of Blood is esp. welcome to me, as it's a very strong picture.

As far as MGM titles (and Price titles), I imagine everything they release will be from this list:

I'd personally want:

Dr. Phibes Rises Again
Cry of the Banshee
Tomb of Ligeia
Tower of London
Theatre of Blood

But hey, there's always a Volume 3... Hopefully in 2015 or 16! lol

Theatre of Blood seems like the most obvious inclusion for a vol II, then probably Dr Phibes Rises Again. My personal favorite of those Corman/Poe movies is "Tomb of Ligeia" but I seem to be in a small minority "The Raven" is great too.

I love the Tomb of Ligeia. It actually has a pretty sizable following from what I understand.
