It's not LOI b/c they said there were four retro (pre-1990) titles. I'd rather have Without Warning over Fright Night Part II

I think that Motel Hell was the surprise, being from an unannounced deal. The other two are Fox, so that's limiting.

Lord of Illusions wasn't one of the two

I don't think that Motel Hell is the surprise. I imagine they're saving that to announce themselves.

I think Im going to go with the Without Warning bandwagon and pick that one along with Pumpkinhead.

I think strong contenders as surprises based on what I have read would be Fright Night II and Rawhead Rex ..
I was reading their page and they did not respond to a Giant Spider Invasion inquiry or for a Raw Meat request as well .. would anyone be surprised by these ? I know that I would be.. they didn't respond to a Rex inquiry either... hmmm

These both would be my choices. Can't wait to find out.

Someone did - 101 Films, a UK outfit. My copy is on it's way and it's supposedly a great transfer. Not sure about the region coding, though, but it pays to have a multi-region player. As for the other surprise announcement, someone mentioned Rawhead Rex and Raw Meat - it'd like the latter but it's too obscure. Shout is more than likely saving the big announcement for a bigger title. They already said no to Hell Night so Fright Night II is a possibility. Without Warning seems to be stuck in limbo, along with Blood Beach.

What's the chances they could release Carrie? Sorry I don't know anything about rights and stuff.

Not just amazon. Something is going on with scream factory's distribution. I preordered directly from shout for cat people, night of the demons and witchboard and everyone of them was shipped after street date or back ordered. A lot of people complained orders shipping late or having orders canceled.

That's weird. I've been getting them on release day from amazon. I've got prime membership so not sure if that makes a difference.

I believe that even before that, Cliff said the DVD had not sold well, which is probably why they did not try to re-new the license. A shame, as I like it very much.

That didn't stop them from releasing The Beast of Hollow Mountain/The Neanderthal Man

Shatner and spiders have to have more selling power than those

Oh well, hopefully someone will eventually release it, even if its some crappy Mill Creek multi-title deal

Kingdom of the Spiders would make sense/sell better with another Shatner horror movie, like The Devil's Rain.

Even though I'm totally repulsed by spiders, and those little bastards scare the bejesus out of me everytime I see them, and this movie makes me squirm bigtime...I'd be all over this release!

The official reason Kingdom of the Spiders wasn't upgraded to BD was there wasn't an HD master for it. It's too bad, the film is very cringe-inducing, but in a good way
