Success! The booklet even has some Stuff dripping from the corner, a nice touch. I do wish they has used the melting face poster for the reverse though.

Success as in the top menu trick works? My finger is hovering over the order button

Yes, another Arrow release to add to the trick list, making (I believe) a baker's dozen.

Edit: I did have to press pop-up menu twice for it to load though, and I inserted it twice to make sure it wasn't operator error. Don't think I've had to do that before.

Well I placed an order for The Stuff and Spider Baby (finally). I missed the boat on Hellgate and Hell Comes to Frogtown but I can live without those two. But I'll be damned if I'm going to miss out on The Stuff, I love that flick!

Wow, I just ordered Frogtown and Hellgate a week and a half ago. They must of sold out at roughly the same time.

Hellgate is in-stock at the Arrow store. (Frogtown is not.) The Stuff, by the way, isn't limited to 1,000 like those two.

It didn't work on mine (I use an Oppo BDP-93), but it's modded to be region free, so I'm still good on that front.

I have a couple Region B blurays (I know "Creepshow" is like this, I ordered it for all the extras, the US version is awful in that department) where I have to do other things like stop the disc, hit 1 and then enter, and then the movie just starts playing, and THEN I can access the menu, so even if the top menu trick stops working there will probably be some kind of workaround! The only one that's given me serious trouble was the studiocanal Mulholland Drive, but I figured out some particular button sequence that worked and wrote it down. It seems like the only reason for me to get a region free bluray player over this standard panasonic one would be if it could convert PAL to NTSC or 50hz to 60hz. :P

I ordered Obsession, Sisters, The Burbs and Rififi from Arrow so as I get them we'll see if it works on all of those.

Re: previous posts, Swamp Thing is a pretty good movie but the cheapness is distracting to me. The lion man makeup was distractingly awful to me even when I was a kid who loved things like The Monster of Piedras Blancas. It's got a lot of positives, though. If the extras are any good I'll probably pick it up if I ever see it on sale.

Speaking of sales, I think I'm going to have to get Knightriders, I didn't see its price had dropped to 14.98. I don't know if I'll end up liking it, but having a commentary track with Romero and Savini pretty much justifies the price by itself!

In addition to Phantasm, Bride of ReAnimator was shot down by Scream Factory
It's too bad that a lot of titles which would be perfect for their label arent available to them. I hope that they did get the Fly II from Fox..that would be a nice fit for them..

Yeah. The Fly II is the kind of movie that I don't really like very much but have watched several times just because the FX are so darn good. I'd buy that in a heartbeat if they had some good extra features on it. (I never got the special edition DVD, couldn't justify it when I already had that Fly/Fly II 2-pack since I don't really even like the movie!)

Unless the disc was re-encoded, you shouldn't have to do any tricks with Obsession; that one was released as region free. I remember getting it prior to getting my Oppo, when my only player was a PS3.

Ah, cool. I didn't even check if it was region locked, just assumed. Works for me! I was pleasantly surprised when The Beyond and House by the Cemetery were as well.

Too bad about Phantasm but Bride of Re-Animator was just released as a beautiful Mediabook. I don't know about anyone else but I don't have the patience to wait for a "possible" US edition down the line. Region-free is the way to go.

Both Re-Animator and Bride are region-free.

There ya go! Had no idea it was region-free so now there's no reason not to import this. We don't have to hope that Scream Factory releases it now

Forgive the question, I'm sure it's been asked frequently, but what are some other Arrow titles, unavailable in North America that are region free?

Class of Nuke 'em High (OOP in US)
Obsession
The Beyond (might be coming from Grindhouse)
Forbidden Zone
Tenebre (coming from Synapse)
Phenomena (coming from Synapse)

Not sure about the Arrow Academy titles (or if they're still in print), but I'm pretty sure Spirits of the Dead is region-free

This does come up often. So much so that there needs to be a thread on it... Get on it NoirFan.

If I remember correctly, Hellgate, Spider Baby, Hell Comes to Frogtown, The Stuff, and one more whose title eludes me fit the criteria... Not to shabby for someone who doesn't buy Arrow stuff.
