Lionsgate is currently re-releasing many of the Miramax titles they've already released with UV codes now included. They're milking them for all they're worth.

I only received 5% off one order so I put in my fiancés email for s***s and giggles, and managed a 15% off + free shipping. So I preordered Sleepaway Camp. Here's to hoping for that poster

StudioCanal has released a plethora of titles in other Regions that I am dying for them to release here presumably through Lionsgate. As we all know Lionsgate has an epic back catalog that they haven't even touched upon. While none of us have no idea what is going on with it, something makes me believe that the company heads changed maybe like towards the end of the "Saw" franchise, in that era of Tyler Perry money making film garbage and the beginning of "The Hunger Games" when Lionsgate started to be looked at as a major studio contender somewhat and they were actually making huge sums of money.

Just my theory, but the people who were around in the Trimark/early-Lionsgate days who may have given a shit about horror are now all gone or got bought out once Lionsgate became who they are now. Personally, I think Trimark/Lionsgate's history would make for a cool documentary. I mean it really is an "underdog" type story from indie comedies, DTV horror and occasionally nominated indies to some of the biggest grossing films of the year, it's quite a journey they've been on.

Add me to the list of The Rage: Carrie 2 fans!
Best thing, imo, would be a Double Feature of the 1st Carrie remake and 2.

Yep. I remember a time when Lionsgate couldn't release their own DVDs. Dogma is a Lionsgate title, with the Lionsgate logo before it, however it is now a Sony property.

I liked Dracuala 2000, but Dracula II: Ascension was the best of the trilogy in my opinion. Dracula III: Legacy was terrible.

That's because it really isn't a Lionsgate title at all. STK, LLC simply licensed the theatrical distribution to Lionsgate and the home video distribution to Sony.

Not necessarily. Lots of Sony titles have been going out of print. It might be one of the 665 films Mill Creek licensed from Sony last year.

Where has everyone had the best luck of getting the best prices on these titles?. I haven't seen a lot of them so I would like to get them for the best prices possible. I saw shout factory was having a sale, but they are all still very expensive blind buys.

When I first saw Halloween 3, I think I was expecting it to be more like the first two. But watching it as a stand-alone horror movie, it's really good.

According to Synapse Film's facebook page "someone" got the rights to the Miramax catalog that may be interested in Halloween 6: Producer's Cut.

HALLOWEEN 6 will not be done by us, but it will be done by someone else.

It is not for me to divulge the details about those Miramax catalog films. Now that they aren't with EBE, I have heard they went somewhere else (at least some of them anyway). I'm sure details will be revealed in due time if/when it does happen.
We know that they plan to visit the Killer POV podcast again around May to announce "a bunch of titles". So, assuming Echo Bridge only now discontinued their product but knew about their deal coming to an end months ago, Miramax would probably have begun taking offers when they realized Echo Bridge (I assume) no longer wanted them.. And since we know Shout Factory has the budget to purchase them (since they tried but were outbid, before)... Is it probable that they got the catalog? And they knew they'd be getting it around this time, the Spring of 2014? Just a thought.

And these labels are close, friendly, competetors. It wouldn't be unusual to spill the beans to each other, would it? It's certainly happened before. Plus "inside knowledge" and all that jazz...

Sounds good, I was hoping for Synapse to release the producers cut though.

If they had called it something else I think a lot of people would feel differently about it. It just doesn't seem right to include it with the "Halloween" series because it has zero to do with it. On it's own it is an alright film in my opinion.
