We sound like broken records but I think it's Fright Night Part II. I'm hoping it's not something Arrow has already released

This has been confirmed by John Carpenter numerous times. Joe Dante was even approached to direct Halloween 3. The quality of this book is now in doubt.

Be prepared to be sad. Rawhead Rex is not the mystery title. Denied on the grounds they cannot get it from the studio it is with.

Yes. This has been said in Scream Factory's BD. It is mentioned by Wallace, Rosenthal, etc. in the docs on Halloween 2&3.

I had always heard that it was supposed to become a Halloween themed series so I was surprised to learn it was not true. However, it is possible that I misheard what Justin said. Let's wait to see what the book says. Supposedly he interviewed just about anyone and everyone related to the series.

Good guesses .. The Fly II would be a good educated guess for the one Fox title to announce Id say or Tales from the Crypt. But it seems like their Summer of Fear is primarily 80s to current, with Legend of Hell House being the lone, but excellent pre 1970s choice. We wont find out until next month though according to Jeff's post
I just don't see Carrie because MGM is milking it over and over

No Rawhead Rex? Noooooo!

Also, very cool about Leviathan, but I've always much preferred Deep Star six. Such an awesome monster flick from the creator of Friday the 13th with what must be one of the coolest death ever put on screen and one of movies' best underwater monster.

Any chance of Scream Factory ever releasing Deep Star six?

Easy. Shout already has some: Vicious Lips and America 3000 come to mind. Heavy Traffic has a Shout BD.
Others just suck ass: Violent Shit movies, Day of the Dead 2
Some are PD: Wasp woman
Some are just too obscure.
Some already have R1 releases: Ernest Scared Stupid.

None whatsoever. Blame Lionsgate. We must petition them. It is in the process of working with Warner for the hammer stuff.

I swear, we have to start a petition for Lionsgate to release:
Chopping Mall
Waxwork
Deep Star Six
Sundown, the Vampire in Retreat
The Wraith
The Gate
ROTLD 3

All should be Special Editions. This is just a starter list.

Maybe something that used to belong to Echo Bridge ? or another big MGM title ?

I'm glad "Scream Factory" is putting out "Leviathan" instead of another stupid release like "Lake Placid", we've already argued about this one I know.

But, never ever having seen "Leviathan" I'm on board, cause the artwork looks awesome and it's 80's, late 80's but still. I hope it's actually a cool film. Something tells me MGM got wind of "The Abyss" being in production and fast-tracked something in the same vein hoping to capitalize on it's hopeful box office success, but I'm just basing this all on the name and cover art.

Looking at their release dates I might be right they both came out in 89, just months apart. "Leviathan" came out first though. I've never actually seen all of "The Abyss" either, always seemed kinda boring to me.

EDIT - Cast featuring Daniel Stern, Ernie Hudson and Peter Weller? I'm in for sure, regardless. Only thing that worries me is that previous releases seem to only have featured a trailer, hopefully "Shout!/Scream Factory" can drum something up.

How about 1983's The Being, starring Martin Landau?

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0085224/?ref_=nv_sr_2

It's a fun monster movie. Very cheap, mind you. Not unlike something like the incredible melting man (though I much preferred the being, seeing as I'm a monster addict). It's got a great cast but is really hindered by an awful lead. But the monster in it is iconic and has a great design.

It would make for a very fun small release from Scream. Anybody has any idea who owns this one?

Good lord, I think you're right! I just checked their website, and they have a uber cheap dvd of the being paired with an even worse movie named Cop Killers. It does have an audio commentary, mind you.

Still, Code red looks like one hell of a cheap company. Bummer!
