Ok just saw the hint: two titles, both from the 70s, and (both?) first time on Blu-ray.

I suspect The Brood may be one.

Yeah and some extra good and kind of expected news as well regarding HorrorHound Weekend.

Also to tease, we'll be announcing - in person - some highly requested titles that we are planning for a "Collector's Edition" at the HorrorHound Weekend convention in Indianapolis on Nov 16th. (But no worries if you can't attend, we'll share them very soon afterwards on here we promise!) :-)

Let the speculating begin...

Hmm this is a tough one because there's a fair amount of 70s titles still awaiting a DVD / Blu-ray release that I haven't seen yet. I'm completely guessing by saying "The Horror Show" and maybe "Willard". Can't remember if it was ever confirmed if "Willard" was fair game or still wrapped up in legal issues. Nonetheless, if it were announced that would be quite a surprise. Either way, this week has me very curious, I can't wait to see what's revealed.

I don't think it's The Brood, because that one falls into "biggie" category.

I'm expecting something in the vein of The Incredible Melting Man or Frogs.Or both?

Some of the other possibilities are:

Whoever Slew Auntie Roo?
The Images
Scream and Scream Again
Theater of Blood
Dr.Phibes
Murders in the Rue Morgue...

Edit : Lots of ppl thinks that one of them will be Burnt Offerings.Good call.Love Reed.

Isn't the Burt Lancaster/Michael York Island of Dr. Moreau an MGM title? That's one I'd love to get on blu.

Ah touché, "The Incredible Melting Man" seems like a prime contender this week come to think of it. My vote now goes for that and "The Horror Show".

Isn't the horror show 1989? Is there a different one?

I was one who posted on Facebook going with Burnt Offerings & Incredible Melting Man
I never thought of the Brood as a major title..just major gory
I think if it was something like Williard they would say first time ever on dvd or blu ray like TerrorVision...this specifically says first time on Blu which to me sounds like its on DVD...And I chose those two because I think they will make big money and that's what the DVD business is about. Of course I could be wrong, but its just a hunch..
Frogs would be cool
If they didnt say first time on Blu I would have said Carrie because that blu needs an upgrade with all the extras on the DVD

Burnt Offerings would be nice!

Hmm, maybe...

Grave of the Vampire or Blacula

I'd guess... Burnt Offerings and Food of the Gods.

Burnt Offerings.
I hope not. After the announcement of From Beyond, I'd be livid if that was coming instead of something better (not boring and PG).

Woops! You're right, I was mainly going off the list of titles people have been requesting and assumed it was from the 70s. So let's try this again haha my guesses this week are "The Incredible Melting Man" or the "Dr. Phibes" films. My final guess

I wonder if there is any chance we can get Swamp Thing. I watched it on netflix Streaming and the quality was pretty bad. It would be nice to see this on Bluray. Also wouldnt mind getting The Fly 2

The Dr. Phibes films are probably too big at this point in the game. I'm thinking those might be announced later on.

I'm going with Squirm and Raw Meat.

Night of the Lepus and Demon Seed are both with Warner Bros. as part of the Warner Archives MOD program.

Horror Hospital appears to be with Dark Sky Films.

Squirm is a great guess! I'm gonna guess that one, plus Frogs. I think if they announced The Brood, they would announce it alone.

Audrey Rose and Burnt Offerings are other '70s MGM flicks, but they seem a bit tame. Others: Raw Meat, The Incredible Melting Man (doubtful, I think), Blacula, many of the Midnite Movies are from the '70s, as well.
