I guess you can compare how I feel to those who are fans of the Final Terror which is also getting a debut this year.

We all feel strongly about titles getting released for different reasons. For me, Fright Night II needs a blu ray release because the DVD is horrible, full screen...Island of Terror and Godzilla 1985 because they've never been released on disc format in the USA , Planet of the Vampires & Theater of Blood because they arent anamorphic.. (TOB is coming from Arrow)
If I could Internet high-five you DSMan I would. Congratulations to you. Without Warning was in my top 15 most wanted as well, but my #1 all-time want was The Final Terror. I know how you feel. Now, I have to update my top wish list and take Without Warning off, and add another to my list. Maybe later this year, or next year we will see some other obscurities released on BD. Ever since I saw a poster of Superstition, I've been craving to see it released, along with a host of others.

For Without Warning, I wonder if the other side, which will have alternate artwork, will sport the alternate title "It Came Without Warning."

I have a feeling that's part and parcel for that poster artwork, sort of like how Dark Angel had the alternate I Come in Peace art.

I'm sorry to disagree but Without Warning holds a special place in the heart of many horror film fans, especially if you were lucky enough to see it during its release. This was released in the fall of 1980 which was the golden autumn of slasher films.....

Terror Train, He Knows You're Alone, Without Warning, Motel Hell and The Awakening were all released that fall. With Halloween and When a Stranger Calls re-released to cash in once again on the horror craze. Prom Night, Humanoids from the Deep, The Shining, Friday the 13th and Dressed to Kill were still playing in theaters and were wildly popular.

Without Warning is a very creepy little film with a terrific cast, low budget but extremely effective. It has a special kind of atmospheric mood that is unnerving. The scene in the bar tavern with the customers all discussing the possible alien invasion sends chills down my spine every time.....

I have been waiting for a release of this since it's theatrical release......Scream Factory has made me one happy guy.

Just Purchased Witchboard and Slumber Party Massacre, and will be getting Nosferatu, Motel Hell and Phantom of the Paradise as a big thank you to the folks at Scream for finally getting a hold of Without Warning.

awwww, what great memories!!! I was in my late teens during that time and had a wonderful time with these flicks... which is why I love what SCREAM is doing here. WITHOUT WARNING is one of the few flicks I never got to see so I'm especially excited about getting this one!!

Great post! I agree with you 100%. Another film that I can't wait to get from Scream is The Final Terror. For fans of Sleepaway Camp or Final Exam, don't sleep on Final Terror. IMO, it has some effective atmosphere, especially in the latter half. If you like backwoods horror/ slashers, I think you'll dig The Final Terror enough to warrant a blind buy.

That's not true; both their parts are pretty big.

I can't believe Scream is releasing two titles this summer that never received a legitimate DVD release- The Final Terror and Without Warning. I'm still in shock.

These announcements have me thinking, what other titles that never received a good DVD release or have never been released could Scream possibly put out in the future? I know a lot of titles just aren't feasible due to rights issues or lost elements, like The Mutilator.

Why are you so shocked? They put out a lot like that. These two, TerrorVision, Video Dead, Scanners 2&3, Prison, Town That Dreaded Sundown, 7 of the All Night Horror Collection titles.
