I am. The only time I've watched it was when it was a 'new release' at Blockbuster Video. It's one I'll definitely be buying.

Ginger Snaps is one of my favorite films and it's by far the most excited I've ever been for any release announcement in the history of Scream Factory. I literally outbursted with excitement and ran to tell my sister. Can't wait to see the extras. I'm sure Emily Perkins and Katharine Isabelle will be more than happy to talk about the film.

The extras on the DVD are good, there are a lot of very interesting deleted scenes and two good commentary tracks (one from the director, one from the writer). If you haven't seen the special edition DVD you have a lot to look forward to. But yeah, I'd think both of them would be quite willing to talk about it. Katherine Isabelle's done some other interesting stuff since then (American Mary in particular) but I can't recall seeing Emily Perkins in anything other than a bit role in Juno. Ah well. There's so much for them to talk about with the sequels, too...I dunno how rights work with special features (like, if they'd be allowed to include interviews about movies that they don't have the release rights to!).

I can't wait for the preorder to show up on shout's site, this is going to be the second thing they've ever released that I'm hyped enough about to preorder through there for the poster :P

I have an American DVD that I don't think really has any special features that I noticed 😥. And I wish they could do a featurette on the series but I don't think they would be able to. I'd love love love to see a commentary with just Emily and Katharine together. I've only preordered two releases from them: The Fog and Psycho II. Side note: when did they say we would get the list of extras for this release?

I'm pretty sure cakefactory is referring to the Canadian DVD.

Last I heard, this is supposedly going to be a Twilight Time release, either for late this year or early next. Nothing official yet, but given its mostly non-essential status, TT wouldn't bother making a fuss about it far in advance of release if they have it.

Also, while I'm at it on the topic of hefty rumors, presumably a big portion of the holdup on Criterion's Cronenberg titles has been them waiting for Rabid to officially be available to them. Scanners & The Brood are already confirmed, and Shivers has been heavily rumored as well. Looks like that boxed set might become reality soon.

Back on the thread topic, Pumpkinhead always seemed far more likely for a September or October release anyway. Also, with an HD transfer finally showing up on streaming services somewhat recently, I'm banking on Bubba Ho-Tep seeing release from Scream Factory in the foreseeable future. If not this year, then early next.

And on the Godzilla front, there are rumblings that Toho finally managed to license both Son of Godzilla and Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla. If Shout happens to be the one that snagged them though, I'm guessing they'll be released under the Shout Factory brand and not Scream. Not that I'd frown at the latter doing the honors. I'm just happy to be getting them sometime soon.

I'll shut up now.

Completely agree, my friend. But of course you already knew that

I'm still holding out for a UK other region B edition, and I reckon one will come out in the next year. This film deserves a sexy label like Arrow, Eureka (Masters Of Cinema), or BFI to give it the treatment it deserves. They'd likely do a hi res 2k scan or something.

Sure hope it doesn't get released under the Eclipse series if they do produce a box set.

Doubt it. There's no way The Brood (at the very least) doesn't have HD-quality materials. In fact, aren't all three of the films available as HD streams from Criterion's Hulu thingy?

Check out Arrow's April Fool's joke on Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/ArrowVideo/...647235/?type=1

If the link doesn't work for whatever reason search for yourself. It's funny though because "Shout!/Scream Factory" actually put "Incredible Melting Man" out as a serious offering, to them it's a joke title, it's a MST3k movie. I side with Arrow here. The other joke was that they were putting out "Ghost Dad" which is hilarious, I love the cover artwork they made for them as well.
