Now this is a really fun assortment of titles. Some sci-fi and Hammer horror, I'm loving the variety here and am really happy I never bit on that MOD of "The Incredible Melting Man". Way to go, Scream Factory!

'Melting Man' should make for a typically great Shout Factory release. I've got a bootleg of the film from Flesh Wound Video but I'll gladly upgrade to a Blu-ray and some extras. Never seen Vampire Lovers but I'm always up for a cool discovery. Hoping for an 80's title next week (my preferred decade for movies).

Awesome news! If Hammer films are on the table too I'm gonna have to check on what other titles MGM has the rights to. Can't wait!

I'm happy with both titles. Vampire Lovers has been OOP for a while and TIMM never even warranted a pressed DVD release, going MOD just last year. I can definitely see why the hint was so vague this week. These two movies have almost nothing else in common, aside from being distributed by American International Pictures.

Thumbs up

I know that Melting Man will have extras as do most if not all the SF releases do, but to have it in HD, rather than an MOD is going to be amazing. This will easily blow away Vipco, the German Laserlight release...
The Vampire Lovers really shocked me in a PLEASANT way I never would have guessed or speculated that one. I would think that SF will include the commentary from the MGM Midnite movie version. Ill probably get rid of the DVD when that is confirmed.
On a personal note this was an even more exciting announcement then From Beyond because I enjoy both film and Im just amazed at not only did I guess right on IMM but we get a big surprise..we are tapping into the Midnite Movie vaults !!
These movies will bring in money for SF and that is what will keep them in business for hopefully a long time to come so they can release more titles from the well known to the more obscure to please us all

Admittedly I've not watched either of these 2 before, except for a little bit of IMM MST3K. But I'm about to remedy that and watch them both.

Repo Man is with Universal and apparently Shout! has announced all of it's Universal titles.

I think Maximum Overdrive is with with Studio Canal via De Laurentiis Entertainment Group, which would probably mean US Distribution would be handled by Lionsgate, but the last DVD was released by Trinity Home Entertainmentm so who knows.

The MST3K episode would probably be a great bonus feature for TIMM. It really is a "so bad, it's good" type of movie, aided additionally by impressive gore effects by Rick Baker.

If SHOUT! could pry away the Incredible Melting Man and The Town That Dreaded Sundown away from MGM, hopefully we can get Phantasm Oblivion too.

I believe "Phantasm: Oblivion" is with Anchor Bay. Regardless, I'd love to see them all join Scream Factory's line.

I'm personally good with my MOC Repo Man steel, but I would love to have Maximum Overdrive.

People always talk crap about it, but I've loved it since I was a kid.

Wow, I'm really surprised with The Incredible Melting Man! It opens the door for other MGM MOD releases--namely New Year's Evil!!

Vampire Lovers is easily in my top 5 Hammer flicks. It's completely entertaining from beginning to end. This is a great pick up for Shout Factory.

So with the release of Vampire Lovers, does this mean potentially that more or all Hammer movies are in Screams pocket. I remember Warner Bros releasing some and Anchor Bay releasing others. I'd love Horror of Dracula, Dracula Prince of Darkness and my personal favorite The Legend of the 7 Golden Vampires.
