Same here.

I started entering in my email address on Blu-ray.com when I search for a movie I'm waiting to pre-order. Blu-ray.com sends out an email the day they have a link from Amazon to pre-order.

Have we ever gotten any kind of reason as to why Universal wouldn't license to them this year?

It's the other way around...Scream won't license from Universal. It's obviously because of the negative reception they've received for the PQ of the masters that Universal has provided them for almost all of the titles they've licensed from them.

I just watched Blood on Satan's Claw yesterday, that is a truly awesome little horror flick. It deserves to be held up with The Wicker Man and Witchfinder General as one of the pinnacles of that kind of odd British folk-horror. It is VERY richly deserving of a special edition in this country. The anchor bay UK dvd had some good extras but a non-anamorphic transfer. If stunningly average movies from the period like Countess Dracula or The Vampire Lovers are getting lavish remasters I wish a minor classic like that would get some love. Seems like more of a candidate for a Synapse or Grindhouse release, though, they seem to be bigger on the actual classics of the genre than Scream Factory (with the exception of their Vincent Price set).

I also watched White of the Eye recently and think that's another richly deserving movie, I don't feel so bad about that one cause the new Arrow disc of it gave it all the attention it deserved and more. I might have to import it, but unlike with PAL DVDs at least foreign blurays will play on my TV

Haven't bought a "Scream Factory" title in awhile, on my "blind-buy out now wish list" is the follwing..

- "Crawlspace"
- "Witchboard"
- "The Beast Within"
- (not a blind-buy, but..) "Slumber Party Massacre"

Had store credit at a 'mom & pop shop' so I had them order me "Crawlspace" for which I'll end up paying like $5 for. I'm really skeptical about "The Beast Within" how does it rank with most of you?

Beast Within has its moments but it doesn't deliver on its potential. If you are into films from that time period, it is passable. I have the Blu Ray and will probably only watch it one or two more times in my life.

I would suggest Witchboard as a blind buy before Beast Within. Not a great film by any means, but it is a lot of fun.

Damn, Kingdom Of The Spiders is a great movie. Anyone ever notice it has some music from The Twilight Zone episode "To Serve Man"? haha

I might just axe "The Beast Within" all together then. Those were all just my first-tier blind-buy options, I own every Collector's Edition and a fair amount of regular "Scream Factory" releases..

My second-tier potential blind-buys would be the following..
- "Swamp Thing"
- "Eve Of Destruction"
- "Saturn 3" (which I can't imagine ever owning unless reviews were phenomenal)
- "The Incredible Melting Man" (see above comment for "Saturn 3")
- "Scanners II/Scanners III" (I've heard part III sucks, and no extras is a major red flag)

I do have a desire to own the "Vincent Price" set, I just haven't had the disposable income lately. Everything else, if I didn't mention it I own it, or just don't like it or even consider blind-buying it. I've seen "Death Valley", "The Island" and "The Nest", I just haven't figured out if I like 'em enough to purchase 'em.

Wait... Michael Mann's "The Keep" has never received even a DVD release?

I don't have the Blu Ray, but Swamp Thing is a lot better overall that Beast Within.
