One film I would like to see surface on BD is The Reincarnation of Peter Proud.

It was released by AIP, but I think it went back to BCP (Bing Crosby Productions). Which probably means Paramount and I am out of luck.

I know everyone here has their own personal wish lists for what "Scream Factory" should release, but let's get real whenever 'Twilight Time' loses the rights or if they already have, you guys should pick up "Fright Night." Not only to do it justice, but to also bring to people who didn't get a chance to over pay for it.

Also here's proof there was a commentary already recorded for it with Tim Sullivan. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?f...type=1&theater

Not saying I don't agree with you but FN is a Sony title and Sony "usually" doesn't license out it's special features to third-parties or allow them to create their own. Cmac has already stated that it's highly unlikely that SF would ever release a Sony title due to this policy.

However, I still wish they would consider releasing some Sony titles even if they were bare-boned editions. Atleast the titles would be getting a proper HD release unlike Sony's current policy to allow them to sit on a shelf gathering dust.

Okay, can anyone help explain what this is? And if it may be a sign of a couple potential Blu-ray release since Anchor Bay is obviously re-releasing them on at least the dvd format?

http://m.bestbuy.com/m/b/product/det...=1&pid=2614121

In case you don't wanna look, its "Silent Night, Night part one and two" double feature dvd slated for December 2012! I just hope at least the first one gets out soon on BD!

Appears the first one is getting a blu-ray release.

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....uct&id=2614122

EDIT: Nevermind, it appears to be a 2012 remake according to DVDEmpire.

I'm still hoping that AB puts Silent Night, Deadly Night out on blu. I mean, they did it with I Spit on Your Grave and Mother's Day (put the originals out), so why pass up this opportunity to make a few bucks?

It's not just "Scream Factory" I guess but the fact that someone put together these people for a commentary for "Fright Night" and nothing ever came of it, it's on the shelf someone, the least Sony could do is release with just the commentary and make some people happy, or let someone else do it for them.

The commentary was done for a website. You can download it and listen to it on your computer or iPod while you watch the film. They tell you when to ht play on your DVD player. I think it was on Icons of fright.com

No pre-existing HD masters? That's my theory.

SNDN 1, much like the more recent My Bloody Valentine (1981) release by Lionsgate, was composited from 2 sources. If I recall, most of the gore came from a VHS master. If they only have SD masters, they'd need to create new HD transfers for the sources and recreate the composite. I'm not sure Anchor Bay, in it's current state, would still have the willingness to redo this for a Blu-Ray.

Thanks for giving me the heads up. I'd hate to have been blindsided by these releases and not have the money to buy them. I'm particularly excited about, well... ALL OF THEM!!

They're also releasing THE MONSTER CLUB (1980) on Blu next year!

Yeah, it's cool that they are re-issuing this double-feature on DVD but that probably means a blu-ray release is a ways away.

I don't care what it means, I'm just happy to have SN, DN on home video!

I've never owned the original, and only owned 2/3 on VHS. I pre-ordered that DVD set. 9.99? Hell yes.
