F13th 3-D and Jaws 3-D are good, I agree. Amityville 3-D has it's moments. I also enjoyed Piranha 3-D.

My only concern is it will turn out like My Bloody Valentine 3-D, if Farmer/Lussier are still involved.

My Bloody Valentine 3D was unimpressive, but Drive Angry was exceptional. I also like Dracula 2000, so another point in Lussier's favor for me.

Piranha 3D was good. I liked it more than Dante's version.

That's funny, I think the exact opposite. MBV '09 is an easy and enjoyable watch. Drive Angry is just a forced, lumbering mess of a movie.

I do feel, though, that the guy who played the cult leader easily stole the film from Cage.

Yes, but it's probably a good thing as far as her career goes, it seems to be easier to get people to do those things if they aren't doing anything. I have been so glad to see her on Hannibal this season and her character is one that has the potential to be recurring for multiple more seasons depending on what plotlines the show deals with (she's a major character in the book Hannibal, but obviously hadn't been created yet when Red Dragon/Silence of the Lambs were written).

I really hope that Farmer/Lussier aren't involved with Halloween III. They make Rob Zombie look like a master storyteller.

I was thinking the same thing. I think MBV 09' is one of the better slasher remakes and Drive Angry I couldn't stand.

Haven't seen 3DD yet. That's on tap for next month, along with some Showa Godzilla, Vamp, and some Guillermo Del Toro flicks.

For those wondering about the lack of Katherine, according to FB:
"Sorry we reached out to her camp several times with no response".

If you enjoy stupid senseless idiotic movies that are a "boatload" of fun with some really good music and lots of dumb humor. You'll enjoy Piranha 3DD.

I liked it a lot. I've actually seen it about 15 times. BTW I've been to the water park where it was filmed, really surprised me when I realized that was where the film was made.

Vamp was pretty meh. I'd place it below Fright Night (which I wasn't a huge fan of) and the remake.

I would say Vamp is my go-to 80s Vampire movie. I really enjoyed it. So much so that I decided to import that UK release rather than go for the awful American one. I'd say I'm definitely a fan!

I really liked it and in some ways, like it more than Piranha 3D. The sequel had some crappy CGI moments, but it also had some pretty funny moments.

I thought the MBV remake was alright. From a few people I know that saw it in the theater, they really enjoyed it. Drive Angry I really really like. Crazy, fun and yeah, a bit over the top.. which totally worked for me. I really wish I had seen it in the theater. But I chickened out due to what I read about it.

I wonder why there was no response? It's not like she has completely disowned the horror genre. Ginger Snaps kind of put her on the map, and she has gone on since then to become sort of a modern Scream Queen. As far as current Scream Queens go, her horror resume is probably only behind Danielle Harris and possibly Tiffany Shepis. Although Katherine does step outside of horror from time to time, it seems kind of weird that she wouldn't participate in this. Maybe she never got the message that Scream Factory was producing a Ginger Snaps Collector's Edition blu ray.

Maybe her "people" didn't want her to do it and simple ignored the emails or calls...

Or she might just have been busy with Hannibal and the multiple films she is currently working on.

I gotta imagine it was due to her being busy or her "people". I still see her at horror conventions and she fully embraces the Ginger Snaps love. She will be at another one here in Chicago in August.

Not seen this. Any good? Is it a decent horror or a Twilight 'horror'? Read somewhere its more like a coming of age type film with werewolf eliments.

Vamp and crazy Grace Jones are awesome. Love that movie. The Arrow release did not disappoint.
