I'd say it's a LOT more in the spectrum of Howling II, coming from the same director.
(Who tried to do a dopey self-aware parody of it in Howling III.)

And not even the benefit of Christopher Lee or Sybil Danning, either.
Has a young Tom Holland on the screenplay, but Fright Night or Psycho II it is most assuredly not.

According to IMDb, Holland is also directing a remake set to be released in 2016.

Was wondering what everyone puts these limited posters in to hang and protect them? Are there any inexpensive coverings? I really don't want to pay $15-20 for a frame, and i have an 11x17 poster that came in a rigid plastic slip in sleeve type thing (not sure what to call it), is there anything like that for 18x24 sizes like these? Can't find anything, but don't know what I should type in to search.

Bags Unlimited has poly sleeve and backer boards for posters. I get all my Vinyl and CD sleeves from them.

I frame all of my with $10 frames from Walmart. They're not the cheap ones with the thin border but the medium nice ones with a thicker border. They work great for the price and they look nice. Only trouble is, I'm running out of wall space!

I just realized that Sleepaway Camp is a "Collector's Edition" even though they don't have it listed as such in the main listing.

Getting something early is definitely thrilling, even if it's just a couple of days. I ordered my copy Thursday morning from Diabolik and it shipped Friday morning. I could've had it in my hands already except I have everything shipped to my job but the building was closed yesterday for the holiday. Bummer

I've been waiting so long for Ravenous to see the light of day on BD. I've watched my imported R4 16x9 DVD so many times. I was so excited to see it would finally get a release. Seeing now how poor it looks, I can't remember last time I've ever been so disappointed.

Looks like the Halloween set will be a huge seller for them. It has sold its Limited 500 on their site, and it is the Top BD on Amazon right now, in front of Frozen and the Twin Peaks set.

Anyone else fascinated by the phenomenon of Shout Factory having a stellar reputation with great word of mouth while releasing poor transfers time after time after time? Is it because the covers sort of look like 90s metal shirts? I don't get it.

I am in slasher movie mood this weekend and I decided to throw in my Katarina's Nightmare Theater DVD of Final Exam. I had only watched it once and was not really impressed with it. On second viewing, however, I think I actually like it now for all of the reasons that many people hate it. The Blu Ray may need to be added to my collection at some point.

Now, back to my Slumber Party Massacre marathon (I still need that Blu Ray, come to think of it).

The fact that most studios wouldn't even think of releasing with something like Darkman in a special edition.

At least they are releasing them, and majority look really good. Compression issues are their most common problem, which really brings the quality down, especiall if you view them on large televisions.

They are phenomal when providing bonus features, and the SF marketing is fantastic. Their titles are great too. They just need to improve their encoding and focus on making sure that quality is their #1 concern without ignoring extras.
