Scream, TT, Kino and Arrow won't be doing it but CaveofCult website posted an info it would be coming from MGM itself later this year (not sure if it is true but that site is reliable IMO)...

Despite the rumblings about PQ, I'm looking forward to receiving my copy of Ravenous. Tracking still says in pre-shipment however. Hope it gets here today anyway

I only paid $15 for my copy of Ravenous. Even if it's the abomination everyone is saying it is I won't regret this purchase. Plus it's still better than my non-anamorphic DVD.

I don't believe the "no budget" explaination for using poor transfers. I, for one, would much prefer budget be spent on remastering than on custom cover art, special features, promotional coasters, etc.

Other studios like Mill Creek or Echo Bridge just slap on dsic whatever transfer they are provided and charge <$10 per multiple feature disc. I find it ironic that people are excited Scream Factory teased about a possible deal with Echo Bridge because that likely just means the same lukewarm transfer for four+ times the price. I cannot imagine how high the profit margin is with Scream Factory (or Twilight Time) doing the same and charging $30. Scream Factory charges a premium price so should offer a premium product.

It seems more plausbile that SF has poor quality control so is unaware of their lackluster transfers or producers aren't zealous about pursuing better elements when available. Scream Factory is a dream come true, but I wish they would take picture quality more seriously.

I was willing to not really care about the mediocre/poor PQ on Ravenous but it didn't even arrive on release day (after I preordered months ago). So Scream Factory can take a flying leap. That kind of stuff gets under my skin

It's a genuine shame, but I agree wholeheartedly. I love the titles they pick up (often unearth) and the effort that goes into the supplements and the package, but it's sad to see them stumble consistently in the same area. Even if they are hampered by budgetary restraints, surely they could be looking at companies outside the US to co-fund new transfers with, such as Arrow, Carlotta and Shock did with The Fury. I'm not so sure how successful they would have been in that regard with Ravenous, but it must surely have been a possibility with something like Phantasm 2.

Despite my better judgement (I really like the film), I ordered it and got it today, and yeah, I too think that the review is
too generous with the PQ rating. It doesn't say what equipment the reviewer uses (an area where blu-ray.com is sorely
lacking), but to me, I can only get Ravenous to look OK'ish if I display it on my bedroom 40" and watch at a distance. On my
projector in my HT it looks absolutely awful.

Hey guys,

If you disagree with a review...that is fine. It is also ok to post about it. Just make sure you are not bashing the reviewer or the site. Blanket negative statements or comments about the moderation of the thread will be removed.

Just list why you disagreed with the review without needless bashing and/or conspiracy theories.

Are The Final Terror and Deadly Eyes going to be limited to specific retailers (like Amazon and the Shout Factory site). I can't find it up for pre-order from most retailers?

It hasn't been announced as such to my knowledge.

That is all well and good. But the question still remains... What is the difference between a moderator and a super moderator?

Super Moderators are (usually) more experienced, can have additional administrative privis, and can moderate in all areas of the forum. That being said, most Super Moderators listed under "Forum Leaders" have not actually moderated in years .

If it isn't, there must be some oversight or something. I can't find either The Final Terror or Deadly Eyes up for pre-order on Best Buy, Barnes&Noble, DeepDiscount, ImportCDs, DVDPlanet, Family Video, BlowItOutaHere, DVDPacific, etc.

However, most of these sites already have Without Warning and Leviathan up for pre-order.

I just heard Greydon Clark will do a commentary for Without Warning

Picked up Body Bags, Prince of Darkness and The Beast Within. Plan on waiting for Witchboard to go on sale before I pick up anything else, but there are a few in the "Concessions" area I plan on getting once the sale ends as well. Overall I'm really impressed with Scream as this is a solid sale, and one I wasn't expecting. I figured I'd have to wait until October before seeing anything of this sort. The Coasters were a nice touch as well!

Sleepaway Camp must have been a big seller, I can't seem to find it at a decent price. I should have gotten it when it was in stock for £13.00.

I haven't watched my Body Bags blu yet, but have watched Prince of Darkness, The Beast Within and Witchboard and those are great releases.

Enjoy and I recommend you pick up "Night of the Demons" and Lifeforce" also, great fun flicks and awesome blu's.

Don't their combo packs already include coasters?
