What about DOOM? I always felt that was underrated. Any thoughts on that?

If you've always complained about what a bad video game movie wasn't, but didn't know what one should be, Doom might help you figure it out.
It's no Van Damme Street Fighter, but it comes close--Like Prince of Persia, it may not be graceful, but at least it's played the game.

Although I don't know why we're talking about it, since it's already on Blu.

I'm glad to see the OP being updated with current release news (etc), but what about adding all the questions and answers about specific movies to it as well?

I forget what/when that Q&A happened with someone from Shout!/Scream Factory, but there were things being said about how they tried getting Fright Night 2 (which I don't remember the answer to), something maybe about the Guyver series being looked at (although that could have just been a general question in this thread), and some other things I've forgotten.

It'd just be nice to read an faq of movies asked about in here without having to ask about the same titles again and again in this thread for others to have to repeat the answers for.

The answer is that nobody seems to know who has the rights. IIRC, Cliff said he asked all of the possible parties (Paramount, Lionsgate, etc) and they all said that they don't have the rights.

Has anyone asked the director Tommy Lee Wallace if he knows who has the rights?

I agree. Announce it, don't work on it, wait for the cease and desist, then negotiate the rights

But wouldn't it be wierd if nobody ordered them
To stop???

I'm not sure. I would think Scream has probably already contacted him but who knows. It's always worth asking if someone can get in contact with him through social media.

I'd be surprised if it wasn't discussed when Scream Factory et al. contacted him about participating on their special features for Halloween III or Amityville II.

I have an honest question. If Scream Factory were able to do an end-around on Warner Bros with the Cabal/Director's Cut of Nightbreed, is it possible for them to acquire the Unrated Director's Cut of Scream from Miramax and end-around Lionsgate in the same way? Or does it have to be a drastically different version to be able to do that?

I hope so next month or in August they will announce what will come this holiday season.

Examples? Darkman.
Well not a Scream title but the 2K restored version of The Shadow from Shout looks quite neat as it was a universal title that got it right.
