Thanks for the recommendations. I have never seen Final Terror so would love to pick it up and cover it. Maybe a backwoods episode in in order? I need to grab Deadly Eyes as well. I want to cover some nature run amok films but still deciding which titles to cover. Hopefully Scorpion releases Grizzly soon!

I'm loving the contents for the Price set - three B & W films, including two unexpected PD titles, one of which, House on Haunted Hill, is easily Castle's finest, plus three Poe movies, including one of the very best, Tomb of Ligeia. Although a couple of inclusions, Comedy of Terrors and Dr. Phibes Rises Again, are rendered redundant by the Arrow releases, we do get seven films instead of six. Plus, Last Man on Earth is one of my favorite Price films, so its inclusion is most welcome.

Edit: I guess this means a release of Tales of Terror is extremely unlikely. I would rather it than Comedy of Terrors, due to Arrow releasing the latter, but at least I have an MGMHD broadcast of Tales.

Personally - I couldn't be happier!
Agreed! Awesome news! I'm really surprised by the titles, especially Last Man on earth and House on Haunted Hill! I guess they are no longer afraid to tackle Public Domain flicks, Night of the Living Dead anyone!?

Now bring on Vol. III with Theatre of Blood, Madhouse, Tales of Terror, and Twice Told Tales please!

Don't know much about the other films in this second set but will definitely blind buy.
You should really check out more of his work. I have only been a fan for maybe the past 10 years, but to me, Price is horror. He has such a large catalog of films offering everything from Corman / Poe adaptations to early slashers to fun anthologies and Sci-fi horrors. I would start off with the two Scream Factory Collections and go from there. MGM released DVD colelction as well that can probably be found pretty cheap. It includes some a lot of my Price favourites, although there are a few titles that are duplicates from the Scream Collections.

Not necessarily unlikely - maybe for a future set, Ive already seen posts speculating a Price III set

Maybe they wanted to get it but ran out of budget - Im pretty that they could get the film. What is more interesting is House on Haunted hill which I was under the impression it is or was public domain, but there is the DVD from Warner Brothers. I cant imagine a deal has been made with them since WB would just as soon release it themselves like they do other classics ..

Maybe they'll release a double feature with the equally as good Twice Told tales? Although more likely they are just saving them for Vol. III!

The House on Haunted Hill is public domain. Larger studios have released PD movies before (for example, Fox released a colorized version of Night Of The Living Dead on DVD).

Fantastic Announcement, and with that the ranks of the following, (House on Haunted Hill was not in the List, but was on the Wish List, I will tell the rank there)

Dr. Phibes Rises Again (1972) was Ranked 17th
The Comedy of Terrors (1963) was Ranked 53rd
The Raven (1963) was Ranked 55th
The Last Man on Earth (1964) was Ranked 67th
The Tomb of Ligeia (1964) was Ranked 77th
Return of the Fly (1959) was Ranked 83rd

and from the Wishlist The ranking of House on Haunted Hill

House on Haunted Hill (1959) was Ranked 450th

with the announcements of titles, that many thought would never be released by Scream, I'm thinking of reopening the Poll for the wish list. we will know more later

Unless my eyes deceive me, that answers the Disk breakdown as well...

*1. Halloween (2007 release)
2. Halloween 35th Anniversary Release
3. Halloween II
*4. Halloween II TV Cut
5. Halloween III
6. Halloween 4
7. Halloween 5
8. Halloween 6
*9. Halloween 6 Producers Cut
10. Halloween H20
11. Halloween Resurrection
12. Rob Zombies Halloween Theatrical
*13. rob Zombies Halloween Unrated
14. Rob Zombies Halloween II Theatrical
*15. Rob Zombies Halloween II Unrated

The Starred Entries will only appear in the 15 disk Complete Collection.

EDIT: The only disk I'm unsure of is the very last... it looks like it could be a bonus features disk. But if that's the case then both the unrated and theatrical versions of RZ Halloween II would need to be on the same disk, and then the Bonus disk would be omitted from the 10 disk set.

Awesome news on the Vincent Price collection!! I kind of wish they included the first Fly film. Sort of awkward to have just the sequel, but I'm happy as all hell with the rest of the films. Especially The Last Man on Earth.

Fox already did the first one in HD including that convention only slipcover release.. they are holding onto that one, it's one their sacred titles I guess

Wow! That Vincent Price II set sounds great! A very eclectic group with the mix of different studios, but those are all favorites of mine. Very much looking forward to getting it in October (and looking forward to what will be in next year's set )

And Legend released it colorized, 3D-converted, AND heckled by RiffTrax.

The sum of which is one good reason to see PD films given "official" quality releases by Scream Factory.
Homeless films deserve respect and safe shelter. And that goes for Last Man on Earth, too.

A question arises... Why does a studio like Kino release some PD features (Nosferatu, White Zombie) but not The Bat or NOTLD? Just seems to confused me.

Also, why didn't Cliff want put NOTLD on the release of Day of the Dead, as an extra, bonus feature movie, like The Evictors?

Good Question. NOTLD already has a very good HD master that they could use. I was tired of waiting for a North American release and imported the Region A Japanese Happinet BD release for $18.00.

For one, it wouldn't have fit in HD. Everyone buying Day likely already has a DVD of NOTLD, so it wouldn't really be much of an additional selling point, plus you'd have people complaining that they weren't showing the original film the proper respect by throwing it in as an SD extra.
