Personally, I like storing all my SF releases in their slipcovers, on my shelf.
You can also buy polybags designed to store the whole release(BD & slip)...not sure if you knew that.

I remove them and put them in the recycling bin. Then reverse the cover to the original poster art.

I keep my cases in the slipcovers and flip the inside cover art to the original art. That way, it's the best of both worlds; new and old.

I put the slipcovers in the recycling bin when I feeling that "tree-hugger" mood.

Usually, I consign the slipcovers to the trash can.

I store the Blu-Rays in the slipcovers. It would be absolutely pointless for me to bother hanging onto the slipcovers if I didn't keep them with the case...

Sound elements. That was it! Thank You! I knew I read something. Just couldn't recall exactly what it was. lol

Does anyone happen to know if Sorority House Massacre 2 was shot in full frame? I'm having a helluva time finding what it's original aspect ratio was.

If anyone has any spare Scream Factory Slipcovers they don't need, could you P.M. me for a price or trade?

I would appreciate it!

Thanks, I did know that! That would be where I draw the line, though. If I were going to go that far, I might as well just buy extra copies of everything.

Since it was shot on film, I'm guessing widescreen. Probably 1.85:1, but maybe 1.78:1.

I know Slumber Party Massacre III (released the same year, also from Concorde Pictures) is widescreen. The reason Shout Factory's DVD is fullscreen is because they only had a widescreen source of the R-rated cut.

It's not that bad of an idea. I just had a baby in November and she'll be walking/crawling soon. I plan on putting all of my movies in poly-bags before then to avoid the inevitable baby goobers that get on everything. My rationale behind this is simple... I still believe that this is it in terms of Home video formats. I think Blu Ray will be around a long time, but movies will continue to shift to the digital realm.. Because of that (and because many movies are becoming harder and harder to acquire thanks to limited editions) I want to ensure I have my movies for the rest of my life in as good of condition as possible.

On a side note, my entire collection has been backed up to several 3tb Hard drives and is currently hosted throughout my home (and online) via Plex. So even though I'm fairly anal about keeping my collection in good shape, every member of my family has access to any/every movie (as well as family photos, music, and a ton of television series') on any device with a screen... be that tv's, computers, tablets, or phones.

I would guess the same thing, but it seems odd that I can't find any mention of the OAR anywhere. There are other examples of full screen releases from the 80's (Basket Case) and considering this was a Corman flick I thought that maybe it was shot in 1.33:1 or 1.37:1 in order to save money in some way.

If it was shot in 35mm, I don't believe the aspect ratio would affect the cost.

The early DVDs of all the Corman films were fullscreen because that was the standard TV size at the time. It wasn't until companies like Shout Factory (or now Scorpion) swooped in that these are finally getting released in their OAR. Unfortunately, no one has gotten to Sorority House Massacre II yet, but once they do, I imagine it'll be widescreen.

It seems like they haven't done a lot of the early '90s fare yet (my vote is for Stepmonster), mostly the '70s and '80s films. So it isn't just Sorority House Massacre II that's MIA in its OAR.

Anyone have a Body Bags slip (preferably with the little sticker they put on) they'd be willing to part with?

Even though it's not one of my most anticipated, out of curiosity: any updates regarding Dog Soldiers? Last I heard there was some sort of rights issue?
