Yes! Plus, didn't they get Nightbreed from WB? If that worked out, why it can't work with these?

They got the DC from Morgan Creek. They got the theatrical from WB on the condition of a 5000 copy limit.

I don't want that limit. Just go splitsies.

Also, for that petition, I would adjust it to a larger signature cap. The Hammer list was 10k, I believe.

Did they really say they won't do it because of the Second Sight release? Then why are they reissuing Squirm, Motel Hell and anything else that Arrow has also released? I think a stateside edition of ROTLD would be most welcome, especially if any of the workprint footage can be used (if available). If anything, a Shout edition of ROTLD would probably be one of their top sellers. The film is hugely popular.

You don't need a region free player to watch the Second Sight release. You can bypass the region locking by hitting the Top Menu button on the remote. Depending on the player, you may not be able to watch the PAL extras, but even then, you'll be able to watch the movie (with the original soundtrack) and the More Brains documentary just fine. I imported the steelbook prior to getting my region free Oppo, and I was able to watch the movie on my PS3 just fine.

Concerning the Arrow titles Scream's also putting out, the region locking on those can't be bypassed on all players like SS's ROTLD (just Panasonic ones), plus I'm sure they felt they could add more extras-wise, whereas Cliff outright said they didn't think they could do more to improve on the SS release.

I know, I just wasn't expecting to get to 100 actually, I thought getting to that would already be a miracle lol.

I just changed to 200. We'll see how it goes from now

I have a Region A Panasonic and I read it won't play Region B discs for anything in this world.

Exactly how are you trying to do it, and what discs have you tried? Some discs have more complex directions than simply hitting top menu - sometimes you have to hit stop first, sometimes you have to hit stop and then 1 and then enter, etc. If you were trying to play a disc that's in 1080i/50hz then it probably won't play at all, but that's a minority of discs. [Rec] is the only one I have like that, it's impossible to make it play.

I would still raise it higher, as 200 sigs won't make a difference to Warner. It has to be enough to make it worth it for them to invest money into it.

You might want to take a look at this thread. A number of members have indicated that certain Region A Panasonic models are able to bypass region coding on many Region B discs.

To my knowledge, and as MTRodaba2468 indicated, all Blu-Ray players, regardless of make or model, can bypass the region lock on the UK RotLD release by simply pressing the "Top Menu" button on your remote. Your ability to playback any interlaced extras will be dependant on your hardware's capabilities, but the film itself and all 1080P extras would still be playable.

I'm sure you already know this, but you can get a Region A release of [REC] (and Rec 2 and Rec 3: Genesis) from Amazon.ca. The First 2 are available via a box set while the 3rd is a combo pack with a DVD; If you enjoy them and are wanting a release without the Region restriction problems.

Amazon.ca and Best Buy are more expensive, but would me more dependable to actually deliver the order.

You went a bit too far. Your petition will never succeed with a goal of 750 million sigs.

I know, 200 is nothing to impress Warner. I'm taking one step at a time.
Once I get 200, I will raise to 300 and so on.
It took me 3 months to get 100. Once they see I'm aiming 2000 when it took so long to get 100, it will look like a joke. I think it's better to keep it low for now

Great idea Wolfking. My petition has a similar goal but it concerns a specific WB title.
I agree 100 sigs will mean nothing to Warner, but I think looks better if we start low and then start to increase our goal as we get more signatures

Not sure if anyone was aware but there are some Warner Hammer titles coming next year.. it came from a source whose post on Facebook was deleted. Some of you guys might have seen that post as well..
I wont say anything else about it (to avoid any backlash) and certainly wont name the titles but all I wanted to say is that one petition to release Hammer films with Warner did work as they are coming, probably in 2015 , so I hope this one will work as well.
