Man, I could only imagine the ridiculously awesome commissioned artwork that would've accompanied a Shout release.

Surprised that they didn't get it, given the amount of requests it's had by the fans. Thought it would've been high on their wishlist, guess not.
AFAIK, Shout and Sony don't have much of a business relationship.

That's too bad, Sony holds an assload of catalog titles I'd love to see get released.

I'd be okay with that, I'd just like a quality release of it so I could finally retire my fuzzy copy.

I keep seeing Godzilla predictions. Is that based on a rumor that I missed out on, or just some speculation? I'd love someone to release Son of Godzilla, as it's the last of the first original films I'm missing.

In a nutshell Toho has been looking for a distributor for Son of Godzilla and Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla from 1974, since Sony no longer has the rights to them. A theory that hit me is now that Echo Bridge lost the rights to Godzilla vs. Biollante, is that (and yes this is very much reaching and a long shot)just maybe Cliff approached Miramax for a title for an upcoming box set.
My crazy hunch was that movie was Biollante to include in a box set with Son of and Mechgodzilla... (it wont be crazy if Im right of course)
I would be royally amazed if this turned out to be true.

No. I haven't seen a bad Sony-on-Mill Creek transfer yet, and the price can't be beat.

With all this speculation, maybe you should all vote for your titles you want Scream to release, and I will let you know of Top 15 Ranking, every three days, Keep voting, tell your friends, and suggest new titles, that I don't have on these lists ,

I'll take anything Shout gives us but my biggest hope for Comic Con is an official announcement from Fox for The Abyss and True Lies.

That would be really cool. I'd love to finish my original 15.

Do you have any clue behind the story for The Return of Godzilla? Another one of the series I can't seem to find anywhere.

There are forums at Toho Kingdom that discuss this but also in a nutshell Toho is waiting for some rights to expire which at the earliest would be 2016 (thats the word on the street) I think some company called Lakeshore Entertainment has it. It will come out at some point, that I do know

Very unlikely but it'd be a blast if they announced Class of 1984 next Friday.
