I don't know much about studios/rights or if there'd even be any interest in the film but what are the chances Chopping Mall ever see's a release from Scream?

Close to zero. Lionsgate seems to hold the rights to the film and does not generally sublicense their films.

I'm asking a question based on what I read from many fans of this movie. There's a big demand for a Director's cut because, according to some fans the theatrical version is shitty and doesn't make justice to what Clive Barker originally intended to do.
Where did I said the theatrical version is bad because other people say so? The fact there's so many fans unhappy with the released version and asking for a Director's cut says a lot, makes you wonder, but I never said I agree with them.

That panel next week looks like it's mainly Scream's panel, with at least 7 titles being announced along with (what appears to be) the announcement for the final specs of the Halloween set. Don't even know why Shout and Shout Kids are going along. This board will be lit up, especially the Halloween thread.

Really looking forward to it.

Here's their PQ comments. Hope there's no bullshit involving other websites or whatever happened last time.

"Ginger Snaps looks good on Blu-ray from Shout! Factory. The film isn't yet 15-years old and shows some depth and inventive shots from DoP Thom Best. The 1080P image quality supports the film's effects and art direction well. This is dual-layered with a high bitrate and aside from one short instance I saw the image got brittle (a smidgeon of edge-enhancement and some blockiness - background artifacts when zoomed-in) - it seems like a capable looking disc with adept contrast. Colors can look bolder rising above SD-capability, without looking unnatural. The visuals are fairly consistent and despite a lot of very dark scenes - I saw no obvious noise. Hopefully the screen grabs below with indicate the video quality."

Yeah Lionsgate....so not cool that they don't part with their films. I am still hoping though somehow someone somewhere will make it happen though.

Yeah, there's really no reason to wait. It's not coming to BD anytime soon, and the DVD is super cheap (only $5.97 over at Amazon). I got the DVD back in 2008, and I've watched it quite a few times since.

Warner Bros is still Warner Bros... Off limits. Expecting them to raid the WB vault will only lead you to disappointment.
