Society would be cool... maybe if they could even license the extras from the Second Sight blu that almost came out.
A proper, unrated and widescreen Return Of the Living Dead 3 would be sweet, too.

Some I'd really love to see that haven't been mentioned yet are The Falling/ Alien Predator (great fun MGM title) and Spider's Labyrinth, which is seriously the best 80s Italian horror flick that nobody seems to know. Also the Warlock and Waxwork movies would be really neat (I'd love to finally see the Mary Woronov scene rescued for Warlock).

I'd also love The Ressurection and Nightwish, but I know those are trapped in Lion's Gate Hell.

And, I dunno, maybe they could outbid Synapse and finally get The Kindred out?

Why are people suggesting Beastmaster? There aren't even debatable horror elements in that. It's just a Coscarelli movie.

The Kindred is still in court to this day .
It is possible that budgets come into play so it would make a more financial sense to license films from studios that have HD masters which why I sort of lean on more MGM titles to be announced on Friday

Well I see a lot of people are guessing, so I'll do something interesting, I'll List from Both the Wish-List and the Real List the Top 50 films, and we could take it from there.

REMEMBER: The wish-list is a collection of movies that we all have requested Scream and Shout Factory to do and release at one point, even if it's impossible for them to get, this is just meant for us to understand our own love for this movie to be taken care of by this company, MOST MOVIES LISTED HAVE NO CHANCE OF BEING RELEASED. The Real List is a more realistic list of what Scream could release based on studios they have worked with and comments about selected movies.

Wish-List

Same reason people ask for Escape from New York, or wanted Assault on Precinct 13, or even Swamp Thing, Ninja III to a Lesser extent. None of those are Horror titles, yet they found their way into the Scream Factory Lineup. I'd gladly purchase Beast Master over many of Screams other questionable picks. It is/was Anchor Bay, it deals with Black Magic, it hasn't had a Blu ray release yet in the states... Sounds like Shout/Scream Material to me.

(For what it's worth I think Scream Factory should be kept to strictly horror titles, but they've already set a precedent of releasing titles outside the horror genre. Beastmaster doesn't sound bad at all considering whats come before it)

I'd buy Society in a heartbeat, but I kind of feel like this one is more suited for Synapse than Scream Factory.

Scream officially announced The Squad today so that is not one of the 10 they're announcing Friday.

how likely is more Clive Barker stuff since they just finished working with him on Nightbreed?

also: happy 1428 pages! 1428 is the Elm Street house number in Nightmare on Elm Street, Krueger would be proud!!!

Great (even though I really liked The Squad). I honestly think all 10 titles will be 'retro' ones, or at least nothing especially recent or from Chiller.

EDIT: There you go. Someone asked Scream for any hints on the announcements, and they responded:

Only that none of them are newer or contemporary films (e.g. Chiller Films)

MOST MOVIES LISTED HAVE NO CHANCE OF BEING RELEASED. --> This theory went out the door when Shout was able to do deals with Warner Bros, Miramax, The Weinstein Co. and Anchor Bay.

as I see it, everything is possible...god is an astronaut and there is a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, and Scream Factory is where the monsters go to live!!!!

Thank you so much for those kind words, yes they have dealt with those studios, and yes anything is possible, but you won't believe the replies I got from posting such a list, I mainly got (That is with "Insert Studio Here", Scream can't get it), It was just mind blowing, so I made two lists, since also people complained about the number of titles on the wish list, it currently has over 1600 titles that have been requested for years now, so for the Real list, I made it shorter and what seemed more possible, But thank you, I do think anything is possible and that everything on the wish list would be released by Scream, or Shout (Note if any of the titles listed in the Wish-List have been released, or going to be released by the following companies; Scorpion Releasing, Blue Underground, Synapse Films, Olive Films, and Criterion (Only Blu-Ray for Criterion, not DVD or Laserdisc, since they may have lost those rights) let me know)

My new guesses, given what we now know:

1./2. Sleepaway Camp 2: Unhappy Campers / Sleepaway Camp 3: Teenage Wasteland:
By all indications, Sleepaway Camp looks like it may be their biggest release so far this year. Its one of 2014's must-have's. And think they may try to replicate its success as quickly as possible with a Double Feature of it's sequels. FYI 3 is my favorite!

3. Dolls:
Obviously, with the announcements of Squirm and Motel Hell, among others, we know that they have more MGM titles now. This is one that's highly requested and I can't see them brushing it off when it's probably one of the most wanted unreleased flicks with MGM at this point.

4. Scarecrows:
Essentially for the same reasons as Dolls, its one of the more commonly requested of the bunch and would add something a litte different to the mix of titles, imo.

5./6./7. Tales From The Crypt Presents: Box Set:
Ritual could be the title they got from Miramax, but maybe not. This is just a guess but my guts not too sure about this. Especially when you think that they probably could've included the original and Vault of Horror with it, Demon Knight and Bordello of Blood, for a larger, more complete, set.

8. Phantasm:
Assuming they could get it, there's no way on earth they wouldn't jump at it, unless it happened to be a Dawn of the Dead type situation.

9./10. Phantasm III / Phantasm IV:
Similar reasons as the first, and to complete the franchise on blu-ray within their single banner.

Runner-ups:
Frogs
Needful Things
The Little Girl Who Lived Down The Lane
The Fly II
Shock Treatment
New Years Evil
Society
Bride of Re-Animator
Creature
Shock Treatment
Invaders From Mars
Village of the Damned
Serpent and the Rainbow
People Under The Stairs (combating the bare-bones release)
Etc...

Honestly, at this point it's almost a toss up.

------------------

Side note; I wish they'd pace their release a bit better heading into 2015 TBH.

I'm starting to feel presured and a bit overwhelmed with the volume of cult/horror releases lately. I hope the market doesn't get over saturated.

I would not go that far with Warner yet - someone did ask Scream about that, and it will not lead to future business - at least at this time...And since Warner has said 2015 will be a big year for them, they aren't sublicensing anything..
They're probably gobbling up whatever they can

I know, hence I didn't say they licensed them from Lionsgate, I only said there was an overlap there.
So Miramax licensed 6, 7 and 8 to Lionsgate as well, so maybe there were some negotiations for allowing that, as in Scream was ok with another company getting the license for them at the same time if they in turn could have access to some Lionsgate titles.
Long shot, but as everyone else says, I can dream.

I believe when someone intervines in the process as Morgan Creek did and assisted Shout on retaining the theatrical cut of Nightbreed from WB, or when Mallick himself flat out ask WB for Badlands to be lisenced to Criterion, then there is hope, Who know if Michael Bay asks WB to lisence the remakes of the Chainsaw Massacre's to Shout and we finally get the Unrated version in US on BD. I think is possible, and I think Cliff & Co. will be getting more titles from WB & Miramax, maybe not in the really near future, but eventually they'll make something happen, And am smelling they will also get to the New World (Lakeshore) titles from image/RLJ.
