I'm probably miles off but i've just got a feeling.I think Cliff will know if they don't in a couple of years its gonna get harder and harder to keep the "big" titles coming that resonate with the casual horror fan.
I hope you are right to widen the field. I hope you are wrong so I get some title guesses right.

I should post this here as well. They just responded to my question on the posters. This is new, ummm, news I believe...

Quote:
Here's our best answer:

- There will be a poster - with the "blue" Joel Robinson design - on the Limited Edition set. Our plan is to make that available for anyone who purchases it through us at Shout's site only. It will still be limited. We do not have an exact number to provide as pre-orders are still happening.

- There will be a different poster - with the red Les Edwards design - on the special non-limited edition DVD & BD combo. We do not have an exact number to provide as pre-orders are still happening.
If you collect the posters, and you don't want to deal with buying either one off of eBay down the road, then you have to buy both the "limited" and the standard release directly from SF.

With the 15 disc Halloween Complete Deluxe Edition "sold out" on Shout Factory's website, where is the next most reliable place to pre-order it?

I suspect Shout Factory is trying to artifically create a sense of limited supply demand that may not necessarily exist but at the same time I don't want to miss out and the price is very fair.

Also, I pre-ordered the Nightbreed Limited Edition from Shout and noticed they automatically included a "Shout Comic-Con Tote" in with my purchase... I don't see that advertised/discussed anywhere yet.

I can't decide if I want them to announce 10 titles I want, or only a few that I want. My wallet can't take such a beating.

I wouldn't worry about it. Odds are they'll announce a couple of titles that may be on your wishlist, with the rest being "so so" titles. That's my scenario. I couldn't care less about the 60's and hate most of the 90's output but I expect most of the upcoming stuff to fall within these parameters. It helps to keep expectations low.

If they're tackling any more of the Dimension / former Echo Bridge titles, I wouldn't mind Collector's Editions of The Faculty and Phantoms. If they are tackling any more of those, I'd imagine From Dusk Till Dawn will be a shoo-in as well.

50s-80s are my favorite in this genre.

Actually, if 4 of these titles are Phantasm titles, I'd be happy because I won't feel the need to buy the set.

I bought the Echo Bridge DVD of Phantoms for less than a buck a few weeks ago because I am currently reading the book.

Also, even of some of the titles are Phantasm, one will not be Ravager, because it is new.

Lionsgate is also putting out the three Halloween movies. What it means is that they licensed it from Miramax. Eve of Destruction is an example of a so-so title.

I stand by my idea of the Miramax title being The Cool and the Crazy for a Ralph Bakshi set with Fritz, Coonskin, Heavy Traffic, maybe Cool World (as a Paramount leftover), maybe Last Days of Coney Island, and maybe Wizards.

I was reading a post about tonight, maybe part of the 10 could include the Quatermass Experiment or Curse of the Crimson Altar ? Burn Witch Burn would be cool and how about the Hammer titles that Millennium was supposed to release but they went bankrupt ? Maybe Scream could have picked them up ?

What other Hammer titles did Millenium have? This is the first time I heard of their bankrupcy.

I loved that book, kept me up all night reading. The movie is what I consider a guilty pleasure, its horrible but I love watching the heck out of it. Liev Schreiber's most entertaining role yet and makes you wish Peter O'Toole did more horror movies.

Not to get off topic, but I'd love for someone to release a set of all 10 of the Rebel Highway movies on blu-ray. I still have them all recorded off Showtime, spread across three VHS tapes.

I was hoping Echo Bridge might do it, but they only released Roadracers on blu-ray, and only because it was directed by Robert Rodriguez (it's not even one of the better entries in the series, in my opinion).

Maybe LionsGate will do it now, since I'm guessing they got them all? They probably won't though.

Without naming titles, it's something very few people actually want. OK, I'll name one: Eve of Destruction
