Qs from the aud: Jaws 2? We'd love to. Negotiations with the studio are stalled, but there is hope.
Looks like they're negotiating for at least one of the Jaws sequels.

I definitely want to get Escape From New York, Scarecrows & Phantom of the Opera. I'll pass on Mad Max (already have the box set) and Monkey Shines. I've never seen the others.

I'm curious as to why they don't farm out some of their films (aside from their "no new extras" policy), especially considering Shout has acquired television titles from Sony in the past.

UHF was the best announcement. I was hoping for a Phantasm series. Sigh.

Same here. I've held off buying the blu because MGM's special edition from 10 years ago is still, in my opinion, the definitive release. Though I sense that's about to change.

For christ's sake, Shout doesn't license from Sony. That's why they didn't get Candyman.

Let's try not to accidentally spread false rumors.
Until Twlight Time says they have it let's not assume they do.

Nice set of titles!

Looks like most all MGM. I kind of wondered if a new Universal deal was off when Universal announced their own disc of People Under the Stairs and Firestarter.

We are getting closer and closer to getting all of John Carpenter's movies released by Scream Factory. Director's box set wouldn't be out of the question at this point.

Not a bad list of pickups....not at all....EFNY is a potential double dip and about 3-4 other titles are on my radar.... so that works for me....I won't lie and say I wasn't hoping for a Phantasm loaded announcement. Sh*t, we're getting Halloween completed set from a combined AB-SF project.... a Phantasm one, couldn't be that far off the rails.....
