there's so many MGM and Cannon films out there.... I don't understand where the concern of lack of options comes from.

These studios alone could keep me happy for years to come from Scream/Shout!!

I highlighted the titles above that I would enjoy having....

I know Grizzly is currently in limbo hell over at Code Red, but I hope Scream can get The Dark (1979), The Incubus & Beyond The Door.

Some of us were old enough to see most of these movies during their initial releases. I was 10 when I saw Alien during the summer of 1979.

We ain't gettin any younger!! Crank them out Scream Factory!!

Re-watched Prison tonight. I really think it's one of the most under-appreciated titles in the lineup

According to Kino insider MisterLime over on the HTF forums The Night Stalker and The Night Strangler are no longer with MGM, so I don't know how realistic an option they are for Scream (if they are even on their radar). I know they don't really do TV, but a Dan Curtis set featuring these along with The Norliss Tapes (which I think is with Fox), Scream of the Wolf and Curse of the Black Widow (Trilogy of Terror and Dead of Night are with other companies I believe) would be most welcome.

Dark Sky has Trilogy of Terror and others that they are sitting on such as
*The Horror of Party Beach
*The Flesh Eaters
Meanwhile Paramount has(had?) Trilogy of Terror II which hasnt had a DVD or blu ray release ever...

These are all some awfully good films to not get HD restorations

Well I thought Horror of Party Beach was already restored to HD? It was aired on Monsters HD a few years back. Hopefully, since Scream Factory is releasing the MST3K series, they'll release a blu-ray of both the uncut & the MST3K versions!!

I'm shocked that Lionsgate hasn't released Deep Star Six, The Changeling, Gnaw: Food of the Gods II or Shocker.

Shocker is with Universal and The Changeling is with HBO.

Btw, are you really shocked that they haven't released Gnaw: Food of the Gods II on blu-ray yet?

LG basically sits on their entire catalog. It would be more of a shock if they did release anything. They owned the rights to the entire Republic catalog for several years and did literally nothing with it.

They have yet to license the Horror of Party Beach for an MST3K set.. and if there is an HD restoration of it, its not on blu ray yet. The DVD is awesome with the other film on it... but since we all want to upgrade ..

I am curious and forgive me if this question is stupid...WHY do they sit on their catalog of titles? Why not license them? Or better yet, release them? I'm guessing it's money and just doing the whole steaming thing instead of catering to actual fans of a lot of their titles and releasing them to BD. It's unfortunate. I truly hate to see physical media come to an end.

I'm currently watching Cosmos on Netflix in "SuperHD" and while it looks really good, I guarantee the Blu-Ray would look and sound much better on my system.

From what I recall with regards to the Republic catalog that LG had the rights to, while they had the right to release the titles, whoever owned the Republic catalog (Paramount?) wouldn't give them access to decent masters.

This is why they never released the second season of Twin Peaks after releasing the first season.

Don't forget Hooper's "Eaten Alive". Would love to have that on blu as well.

What about the first Phantasm? We have two, would love to have the first classic to go with it, is that a possibility?

Also would LOVE if they got Dead Alive(Braindead) and Stephen King's IT.

There has been a lot of speculation for Phantasm this year, and whether or not Anchor Bay lost the rights or not. I'd assume "someone" is working on it, or plans to.

I would love for Scream Factory to release Tobe Hooper's adaptation of Stephen King's Salem's Lot. I own the DVD, but I would gladly upgrade it in a heartbeat.
