Next Friday I think four will be announced: Carrie, The Fog, The Howling and The Burning (all Collector's Editions). Last edited by BarnDoor; 11-08-2012 at 05:16 PM. |

I'm with you on all three except Carrie - I think that one is too 'big time' for Scream to acquire, and it already has a R1 Blu-ray. Not that the latter is a guarantee for exclusion (see Halloween II), but in this case I think the combination of big name and previous release make it an unlikely possibility.

It would be nice to see them port over the DVD's extras too.

Carrie would be a major coup for Scream Factory for the reasons above, but highly unlikely, IMO, for the very same reasons. If I'm not mistaken, Halloween II, with a $25,533,818 domestic gross theatrically, is the highest grossing film of any of the films announced for the Scream Factory lineup thus far by about $10 million and Carrie would top that by about $8.3 million. I'd anticipate a special edition release for Carrie next year, especially since the original Blu-Ray had an older encode and almost no special features, but I think it'd be more likely to come from from MGM through their distribution deal with Fox than licensed away to Scream Factory. |

I know this one is a stretch but I'd love to see a proper R1 release for "Hellbound: Hellraiser II" that ports over all the special edition extras from the DVD and upgraded A/V. I'd also love to see a R1 release of "Hellraiser III: Hell on Earth", the unrated print with some special features.
The films come from two different studios I know, but a man can wish. A double feature packaging would be awesome for the two. I'm still content with Anchor Bay's original "Hellraiser" release, better than those "Midnight Madness" releases by a long shot. |
