Which would make it hard for Shout to edge in.
Lakeshore and the Image rights guy have a very good relationship from what the 'word on the stree' is.
I thought Scream Factory had a deal with Roger Corman, to release some New World titles? They already released quite a few of them.

I know Hellraiser was released by Anchor Bay, Avalanche by Kino, and Screamers by Scorpion. So maybe Corman doesn't own the rights to the entire catalog anymore?

I know it's owned by Lionsgate, and have no idea if there are even any extra materials that could be put together for new special features, but man oh man would I love for Scream Factory to put out a definitive Collectors edition (Fresh with a new transfer) of American Psycho. The early Lionsgate release was flawed from the get go (dirty print, lossy audio, etc) so a new release is LONG overdue. Damn Lionsgate sitting on one of my favorite movies of all time.

Corman owns all of the pre-1984 New World. Lakeshore owns the rest.
Corman has deals with SF and Scorpion, who works with Kino.
Image has a deal with Lakeshore.

I know this has been bandied about in here by myself and others, but an earlier post reminded me of just how sweet it would be to finally get a The Stuff bluray released in the USA.

Has there ever been a request for Corman's "A Bucket of
Blood"?

My copy of They Live arrived to w/ slip! Its a bit cringed in the corners but I am used to that with things shipped from that far away. It was less than $14 + shipping too!

A guilty pleasure of mine and quite fun too, i think this could make a good triple feature considering Making Contact aka Joey with both US cut and extended German cut.

Haha, those Germans must love themselves some Emmerich because Ghost Chase also has a longer German cut with an extra 22 minutes.

Just watched "They Live" - man, that was a great movie! I guess if was to rate the Carpenter films I've seen it would be:

The Thing
They Live
Assault on Precinct 13
Halloween
Prince of Darkness
In the Mouth of Madness

I really liked them all though!

To this day, I've hated Prince of Darkness. Saw it on opening night. It's visually stunning, and has a few creepy moments (the shadowy demon thing in the visions), but mehhhh.

Did anyone see Arrows announcements for the Region B blu rays of Society and Bride of ReAnimator ?

It made me ponder if those were titles that Scream couldn't announce *today* because the deal wasn't finalized yet ? Have they been shot down by them recently ?

Imagine Arrow with Region B and Scream with Region A rights ? That would be interesting.. I probably wont put too much stock into it but it made a nice thought anyway

Won't their stuff be all-region if it's released after Spring 2015?

Arrow is expanding to the US market, so I would imagine they'd release those two films on their own.

I'm curious as to what happened with Second Sight; they're the ones who worked on those two releases, yet they announced earlier in the week they wouldn't be releasing them. Bizarre.

I would have thought that too but Region B is what they announced for the two films.. More wait and see what develops.
