Would still like to see this on DVD and/or Bluray

I think this TV film now belongs to Paramount via a series of acquisitions and mergers.

Schick Sunn Classic Productions, Inc. > Taft International Pictures, Inc. > Worldvision Enterprises, Inc. > Aaron Spelling / Republic Pictures > Viacom / Paramount

As far as I know, they're still securing funding for the expansion and have only announced three titles & have seven more to announce. I'm kind of thinking that maybe they threw more money at Yuzna than Second Sight for the UK and US rights so they'd have some heavy hitters for the US market.

Yeah, those two are the kind that would really make an impression...they probably could have gotten a much faster fundraiser if they'd had those as two of the titles listed. Fortunately they hit their goal anyway, but yeah, these two would be pretty big and attract a lot of attention from the Scream Factory type of movie fans that probably aren't too interested by anything they announced so far.

I just watched Society for the first time a week ago, it's pretty awesome. The end credits song in particular is one of the greatest movie theme songs I've heard. Tons of great nudity and a really bizarre and unique take on the Invasion of the Body Snatchers plot, too.

I would have contributed for sure if they had announced Society as part of the campaign. I'm not interested in goofy sci-fi, westerns, forgotten action films, etc... all the stuff they talked about expanding into in the UK (and likely the US). If they had came with a strong horror line up (and it doesn't get much stronger for me at this point than society) I likely would have joined a higher tier as well... however as it is now, I've taken a wait and see approach as I have 0 interest in the 3 titles announced thus far.

Arrow is already a rich UK company..Im amazed they're actually asking for money for their US venture .. They made a deal for Society and Re-Animator.. which from what I was told Brian Yunza did want a lot for the films..so much in fact that smaller studios such as Synapse balked at them..but Arrow can afford them. I expect them to spend a lot to get titles we want.. released already or otherwise

If they're talking to Yuzna I hope they include Return of the Living Dead 3 in negotiations. Maybe Lionsgate only has US rights, or there's some other "loophole" that can be used to wrangle the film away from those investment bankers masquerading as a film studio. Also, I hope Arrow doesn't shy away from the lesser-known titles. I get the impression they're trying to become the next Criterion, which wouldn't be a bad thing, but as we know Criterion turns their noses up at such things

I'd LOVE Society & Return of the Living Dead 3. Not a Huge xxx-Animator fan (Who am i kidding I'll still snatch all of them up) so getting Return 3 and Society would be my preference.

Arrow is hardly a "rich" company. I have no insider knowledge, but I know roughly how the industry works, and there's no way they are making a killing. Successful, quite probably.

Well you said you have no inside knowledge and thats your downfall right there. I talked to a person who knows and IS in the business and knows Arrow is a rich UK company. They don't even need the money to do their USA business. Rich companies don't want people to know their rich...its actually a pretty good strategy.

Anybody ordered Shout Factory titles from Amazon and get screwed on slipcovers? Wondering cuz I'm considering ordering The Funhouse, The Howling, Pumpkinhead, and They Live but am having a tough time deciding if I want to order from Amazon or directly from Shout Factory. Partially because of free shipping I can get em cheaper from Amazon but am concerned about whether or not they'll have slipcovers and Amazon's tendency to ship out media that is in wrecked condition. But then again I don't know how good of condition titles ordered from SF tend to arrive in cuz I've never ordered from them before.

I've never seen Bride or Beyond Re-animator, but I am a big fan of the original. I'd probably be up for both if Arrow or any other company could bring them to blu in the states. Arrow getting around Lionsgate to bring Return of the Living Dead 3 here would be freaking amazing though. I really want that movie uncut in HD.

I just ordered They Live from Amazon, this morning. Should arrive early next week. I'll post if it comes with a slip, or not. Hoping that it does.

the funhouse is the only CE i don't have a slip for, and can't find a slip for either. found 10 copies around town, all slipless. bummer. may have to resort to ebay some time when i know its guaranteed based on the item description.

Pumpkinhead Should be guaranteed, The Funhouse is likely, The Howling doesn't look good, and I'd be shocked if They Live comes with one.

Two members posted in the They Live thread, that they ordered, recently, from Amazon and received slips.
One member, who order about 2 months ago, said his slip still had the Buy Now sticker.
The other member was in the UK and just received his copy with a slip. I'm hoping for the best with my order.

Thanks for the replies. So if you order from SF's site do they always show up with slips and in good shape?
